How long do you wait or have waited for a dreamie?

I've been trying to get my dreamies lately and it has been twice now that people say they can offer me them, but end up failing to put them in boxes. I waited up to 4 days for someone to get me one of my dreamies, but she never responded back. And the second person had said they could get my dreamie in boxes, but failed. ):

It is excrutiating being patient for someone who says they can provide you a service and then you see someome else offering your dreamie already in boxes! You don't want the person who is giving you, your dreamy to have wasted their time, but now I'm starting to notice that maybe I should just take the dreamie already in boxes rather than depending on a chance.

What's the average length of time people wait for dreamies? Do you wait on people to put your dreamies in boxes or do you choose to get the dreamies already in boxes?

There is no "average" on how long it takes, it's really just luck. I don't usually rely too much on someone saying they'll get a villager out because it's not foolproof and isn't always quick. It's a good idea to go for the ones that are already boxed if you aren't wanting to wait.

Edit: It also depends on how 'popular' the villager is. You could get 10 Marshalls before you'd come across Goose on here (in my experience, R.I.P. I want that friggin chicken).

I don't have this problem because I hve two towns and I could get them in one than transfer them to the main town. Having more than one town comes in handy.
