I never know how long to spend at my villager's houses! With some of them there's not a lot to do in their house, but they always get offended if I leave quickly!
I normally sit down on something of theirs and go make some food or go do something else and when I come back they've told me to leave ^^ If I don't have anything to do otherwise I talk to them 3-5 times and then leave.
not that long, usually. i talk to them repeatedly until they offer to let me buy something from their house, buy whatever it is in their house that i don't like, and then leave. i've never been asked to leave tho.
I've only had someone ask me to leave once -it's so boring, I tend to get out of there as soon as possible. I'd much rather hang out in town. I normally don't carry many bells on me, either, so I rarely buy anything.
Depends on which villager it is really.i do enjoy visiting their houses and spending time with them (staring at a wall, good fun). Dialogue can be a bit repetitive but since I love my villagers I don't really mind. If Beau invites me over like he did yesterday, I think I was there for about 10 minutes chilling with him. It's just a part of the game I enjoy. Same with genji. Just I love hanging around in his house because I love the design. Other villagers I might only stay 5 minutes or less. I don't think it makes much difference to the leaving dialogue they give you, I've left the game before while I've been in someone's house and still got the 'oh you're leaving already' type of dialogue.
Maybe around 3 or 5 minutes. I'll talk to them a couple times, do some emotes with them, then once it gets to the point when they ask me if I want to buy something from their house, I just leave.
I used to just pop in and then leave almost immediately, but now I usually just hop on a sofa or chair, talk to them, and wait until they ask me to leave.

If it's the other way around though it depends. If I'm not busy I just let them run around until they get bored and leave lol
I usually wait until they ask if I want to buy something, then I will leave. I didn't know they could ask you to leave. I say their house is so so if I want them to look for different furniture. If I like them, I usually say their house is awesome.
