How long do you spend when your villagers ask you to visit?

For me, it depends on the villager. When Marshal asks me over, I only stay until I buy something and chat with him 4 or 5 times- mostly bc his house is so messy that it drives me nuts and I really dislike his choice in music. But I'll stay in Lolly's house until she asks me to leave- I love her home and kitchen, and K.K Stroll is super calming to listen to!

I spent at least 5-10 minutes in there houses and talk to them while staying.

it depends on what i feel like. if i'm in a rush i leave when i need to. if i'm desperate to fix their house i go for the sole purpose of buying some gross out-of-place item. when i stay for longer, i like to imagine conversations with the host (since the actual in-game dialogue is repetitive), and one time i found cheri and tammy hanging out together so i sait on the couch and watched youtube videos and imagined talking to them as i did so.

if they have an instrument and a catchy song playing, that pretty much guarantees a longer visit because i spend a lot of time playing songs and dancing with the hosts.

I usually talk to them until they're only repeating themselves most of the time!

I stay long enough to check what their house is missing, listen to them talk about stuff, and buy an item that needs to go before leaving. Also check a dresser to see if I get an item to buy. Once I buy the item I'm out.

not long. I talk to them until they repeat dialogue, buy an item if they let me, then get on with my mayoral duties

Probably less than 5 minutes. I usually just talk to them until the dialogue to buy something from them comes up and then I leave immediately after - there's nothing I can really do in their house tbh once I have what i'm looking for in my personal opinion. It's kinda like a normal visit to me, but I can buy things. I wish there was more things to do in their house or more interactions. Kind of like what you see in happy home designer when you see them sitting down to eat or dancing to music. I'd probably stay longer if they did things like that. Imagine if villagers could cook for you - that'd be so adorable and sweet. Maybe Normal villagers could do that... anyway back to the point, yeah not very long.
