tuesday is still a work in progress and it's nineish months old now.
just recently my last stray villager moved away so i have all of my villagers on one side of the river in a cute little neighborhood with the floor entirely covered in flowers that i grew myself. there's also a little park area with a jungle gym, some benches, and a hammock. i didn't even take flowers from the island because i didn't think to do that. i have my "town" side with retail and brewster's and the police station and my town hall, and then in the other corners i've got natural fruit forests and a few other other natural pwps.
but i'm still planning and doing things. it's been a natural evolving.
ruth i'm also working running on the fly. i was resetting a LOT to get a really really good layout but then i got mac as a starting villager and the river is truly difficult but i needed mac in my town like i needed him. anyway, i'm working on the same thing as tuesday with getting all my villagers near me, but i've had some runaways

hans... he moved in the weirdest most out of the way place and i had to rearrange all my bridges and everything.
i also thought i wanted my mayor's town to be a hotel, but now that plan is coming un done and i have to think a lot more.
the fun part about planning ruth actually is trying to make my more convoluted map as easy and natural to navigate as tuesday. tuesday is, except for one part that i am still working on, very easy to move around in. it's hard to get lost. ruth is more difficult because the river makes lots of isolated, tiny areas... but i'm working on it.
anyway i guess the answer is i prepare my town as i make it, so it is slow and takes a long time
