How long did it take you to get the last Nook expansion (without time traveling)?

I have my new town since September 18th this year, and currently have T&t Mart (the first expansion).

Without time traveling, how much time did it take for you to get your own T&T Emporium? I time traveled like crazy in my last towns, so I don?t really know what to expect now in terms of how long it will take to get your own gracie store since I don?t time travel anymore.

I know there are some rules on the ACNL sites, like you have to spend that much money to get this expansion and so on but I wanna know how long it took you all to get it. Especially since Gracie is hard to meet at the plaza.

It took me 4 months in my first town where I didn't time travel.

It took me a whole year. What took the longest was getting freaking Gracie to show up!

It took some 9, almost 10 months last time but I did take a hiatus of a couple of months during that time. Gracie showed up really often but I failed like half her checks lol so it took a while. It can be done in a shorter time definitely.

I don't remember it taking that long in my previous town but not sure. I have T.I.Y right now in my current town which I started at the beginning of august this year.
