I started my town a month ago and don't play as much do to some other things I do. I just feel like out of a lot of people on this site I do the worst in plot resetting (I don't do it), planning my town, and earning bells. #lazy
Anyway enough about me, how long did it take yo to make your town and do you commit a lot to this game.
500+ hours sunk into this game over the span of 3 years (got it on launch day!)
Lots of resetting for the perfect town map and starter villagers, tedious villager plot resetting, meticulous gardening and having two systems with two carts, traveling back and forth in order to unlock the Train Station upgrade. TT for oodles of goodies and bells, careful landscaping, pwp villager exploit for hours on end, TT just because I'm crazy impatient...
Was it all worth it? Every time I boot up my game, I see the fruits of my hard labor (and no life status) so yes ^^
It took me 8 months to finish my town. I started on March 1st this year and finished early November. It was the only game I played for those 8 months straight 500+ hours worth of gameplay and landscaping at 3am.
Is there a tip you pro players can give to us newbies? Since I joined this forum, I went to 2 towns for business, and they were just perfect. Did you unlock those projects (like flowing water next to the tree in the plaza or paving) through pings from the villagers? Actually, is paving (roads) a public project or is a custom design putted in ground? Did you get your bells through selling beatles from the island and getting lucky in the stalk market or there's another trick to it?
Also, what should new players do for long term profit? Buy all the stuff from the nooklings and the able sisters for a complete catalog? Cycle reset for convenient positioning of villagers houses?
...Sorry, those were too many questions and shameless beggaring of wisdom.
i've been working on and off in mine for idk how long now but it's still not finished... granted i did take almost a year long hiatus from acnl though so i guess that might explain a lot of things.. hehe.
i really wanna finish incheon since it's 74% done right now and make a new town and start all over on a different cartridge if i can ever get another copy of the game. i don't know what theme i'd make that town though, or what 10 villager's i'd wanna place in there. wow i guess i have a lot to think about.
I've never finished a town before. :X My 2nd town, Tinytree on my cartridge is probably the closest to finished I've gotten since getting the game in 2013, although I've probably spent about 500+ hours on my first town (digital copy), it's not even close to done. I'm planning on restarting my first town on Jan 1 though, so hopefully I can at least finish my cartridge town so I don't have to worry about it! (it's so close to being finished)
