How is reese so rich?

I've been wondering for a while now, where in the world does Reese get get her bells from to buy our items? Is there a retail in a faraway land only strictly for alpacas? Is Reese the richest in the game?

I've wondered myself. She doesn't take a cut of what you put up for sale. I mean, eBay takes 10% when you sell something, right? But Reese doesn't do that... And it's not like Cyrus makes all that much from refurbishing. Maybe Tom Nook is her sugar daddy. LOL

I always assumed she was just ripping us off and re-selling a huge prices. Golden stags actually cost a couple of million but our characters don't know any better.

Or perhaps she makes squillions as the only method of rubbish disposal for miles around.

Her father is the wealthiest llama in the land. When she fell in love with Cyrus, just a normal guy with a normal job, her father threatened to cut her off without a cent. He wanted her to marry the son of his business partner who cornered the market in llama hoof polish. But Reese didn't want a life without love and she and Cyrus eloped to 'insert your town name here'. And ultimately, true love prevailed and Daddy finally came around. He purchased the Retail for Reese and Cyrus as a wedding gift and deposited a lifetime supply of bells in their account. The End.

Reese probably makes huge profits off the stuff we sell her by selling it again for double or triple the price in another town.. Or maybe even online since the AC world had computers.

She could also be an expert with the stalk market.

I wonder this all the time!!! I usually settle on thinking she's got some kind of deal with the nooklings going on or that a more powerful level of government is giving her the funds for some reason. Agh, now I'm getting confused all over again! >_<

In previous games it was Tom Nook. Gosh, he must have been rich dealing with both houses, his shop and buying stuff.

Is it just me or does he look really fat now? Perhaps we spent all the money on food.

Re-selling items. She sells what you've (and your villagers) sold to her to another town/market (that we don't know) and maybe she doubles/triples the price when she's selling them because your town is very rich in resources. Cyrus gives the share with his furniture customozation business. Or they're just that good at handling business.

She just sells stuff to Nook for twice as much as she paid you for it, and then he doubles the price and sells it again. That's why you only get 25% of the what you paid for an item when you sell it. Both Reese and Nook make off like bandits.

I vote that money was an unfamiliar concept to villagers before Reese and Cyrus showed up xD They created bells and thus can create as much money as they want, and dictate how much everyone else gets. And Nook and the nooklings are their partners in crime.
