How important is portability?

Portability is quite important to me.
If it wasn't portable I would not be able to remove it from one TV and connect it to another TV while keeping the game going.
I prefer to play on our larger TV in the LR but when others want to watch a show or movie, I can easily pick up the NS2 and dock it to the other TV in our back room and I can continue what I am doing. It wonderful not to have to reboot it and wait for the game to launch again.
I have sometimes played it in bed a few times but it is awkward and my hands tire from holding it.
I bought my first game device, a Wii in 2005. By 2015 it was hard to see the graphics so I bought a PS4 in 2016. The graphics were much better on PS. But it was a real pain to move either of them between TV sets and there's no option to play either unless they are connected to a TV.
I ran out of "fun" adult non violent games to play on the PS in 2025 and heard about Zelda so I decided to try Nintendo.
I didn't realize the benefits of Switch. I didn't know the Switch was portable until I got it. I started playing it hand held but I do find it much more comfortable to use the TV and controller.
I sure hope Nintendo doesn't eliminate the portability feature.
