I've been wondering, do you guys customize your character to so they look like yourself at Shampoodle or do customize them in another way or just leave them the way they are?
I personally just kept my character looking the same from day one and I've gotten so used to that although I might consider customizing it in the future.
in new leaf, my character never looked like me; never even had the same name as me, either. but in new horizons, while there are definitely some differences, my island rep looks much more like myself than any of my previous ac characters have. :’^)
In the past I typically kept customization to look like me. Though in Wild World I did mess around with funky colours from time to time as my character had a silly nickname as her actual name and not my name.
In New Horizons I have 5 character based on anime/manga characters so they have specific looks that I never change as I want it to be obvious who they are. None of them look anything like me though haha.
I never make my characters look like me. My main character is always named Destani, which is a nickname/internet handle I've gone by for decades, and I try to make her look like a fun, idealized version of myself. So she usually has a hair and eye color that I prefer at the time rather than my actual hair and eye color.
Any additional characters that I make are usually based on original characters that I create in head with background stories and everything, so they never look anything like me and can even be a different gender.
In my original AC:NL town, my characters were made to resemble BlazBlue characters, in particular Rachel and Ragna. In my most current town, however, my character is modeled after myself.
i always make the player character in any game, where you can customize them, me. it makes me feel like im actually part of something if that makes sense? im getting nl soon and i will try to make them look like me
also in nh i made my own custom eyebrows because irl my eyebrows are bushy and a lot of people like to point that out lol
