At a certain point, I feel like everyone playing gets so many bells that they'll never have to worry about in game money again. What are some ways your wealth has changed the way you play?

Me, for instance: I no longer craft fishing poles, shovels, and nets, and instead buy them from Nook's Cranny. I now only keep enough materials to make one hot item of the day for Nook Mile challenges, and don't sweat chopping trees unless I need to. I'll also buy anything, even if I don't want it, just to have it cataloged, then sometimes turn right around and sell it back to the Nook boys. And I don't bother with turnips anymore because I'm already a multi-millionaire, I don't need more for the hassle unless I'm planning on buying 300 Crowns. I'm sure there are more ways, but those seem to be the big ones that come to mind for me.

i also no longer craft tools unless it’s after 10 and nook’s has closed as i usually don’t have spares on me aha. i also don’t really hesitate as much when i buy some of the more expensive items and i’m not worried about inevitably having to move villager houses down the line as the 50k fee no longer will make me nearly bankrupt aha ;;

I've gotten a bit lazy shaking my trees for items or bells. I don't always bury bells to make money trees. I rarely hit my rocks anymore unless I need materials.

I think that's pretty much it. I like saving bells though, so I get real stingy taking bells out of my bank to buy an expensive item in Nooks Cranny. I'm a penny pincher what can I say.

I no longer craft tools although that's not so much about the bells but because of how cute the tools are. The most significant change I suppose is that I don't worry so much about experimenting with bridges and inclines and I can move buildings daily if I wanted to without it hurting the bank. I also try to send gifts to my friends without really worrying about the price. I've always bought everything in the stores, whether I was a broke b* or a rich b* lol. Gotta fill that catalogue up no matter what 🙈 Also I started selling everything to the box for only 80% profit because the 20% is really nothing for me and the box is more convenient. I also stopped stockpiling bugs and fish for Flick/CJ and I don't go making tarantula/scorpion islands anymore. And now i have a huge fund to pay for extra characters house upgrades ^_^ it's great!

Honestly I dont notice a difference. I have barely crafted my own tools, and I never worried about not having enough bells for something at any point in the game. I dont find earning Bells to be the main point of the game, so it was never really something I thought about :)

This is actually why this topic was on my mind. I realized today that burying and planting and moving and keeping up with the money trees is a lot of work for just $19,000 profit each day. As crazy as it would sound to the version of me who started this game in March, that is so not enough to be worth it when you think about it!

I’m still pretty poor in-game compared to most people lol. I’ve never surpassed 8mil bells yet, although I’m getting pretty close. I always give up on turnips and I make all my money from fishing, bug catching, and hot items, so it still pains me to buy expensive furniture items or upgrade my alt’s house. I still like to search for my money rock and hoard fish and bugs for CJ/Flick. I don’t want to exchange TBT for IGB because I find the way I make money slowly to be fun for me. I’m really rich in Nook miles and I’m always set for redeeming NMT if I need to get resources within my game. Basically I don’t really need to do much online trading to get what I want at this moment (other than event items that I have bad RNG with). I still buy my tools every day although I always craft my fishing rods with sticks now to help with my tool crafting milestones.

It really feels like bells are worthless, doesn't it? I still tip in them because it's easy, but maybe I'm being insulting by doing that?

It's the weakest currency being traded so far in this forum. I guess everyone reached the stage where no one uses it anymore. Other than renovating the island, where else can we use it for?

For me it's good for ordering items that I've cataloged or getting extras, but otherwise I don't really think about it. I was glad to be able to pick up the 1.2 ml crown from Able's when it popped up again, since it originally showed up like the first week Ables was on my island and, well, I def wasn't rich enough then!

Same. I don’t like the turnips and I rarely get on before noon on sundays anyway. I’ve also been giving my roommate money to upgrade her house so she’ll stop dropping her stuff outside of it because she doesn’t have storage 😒

I like that! Win-win: she gets bells and you don't have to look at that stuff. I feel like the actual rich must: sometimes it's just easier to pay for whatever you want done than to deal with it :D

I know longer have to worry about buying things or crafting. Although I try to craft here and there for my milestone
It feels good not to worry about money. If only real life was like that, then life would be just as great as AC 😂

I know LOL! At first the game was a nice escape, and then it gradually became much better than actual life. I'd take living on my island over living in these times, though I think at some point I'd miss being able to look at the back of things

I don't use the stalk market except to get some bamboo shoots from Daisy Mae. I still craft tools because of the Nook Mile achieve, but I will buy flimsy shovels and slingshots to conserve wood. I only fish or catch bugs when I'm in the mood to do so for fun. I'll catalog anything new that shows up in my shop and then most likely sell it right back. I don't bother with money trees, but I still hit my rocks in case a gold nugget pops out.

I play kind of the same actually. I don't spend bells left and right just because I have a ton of them because waiting in queues to sell turnips takes valuable time. If I see overpriced things on Nookazon that I can afford, I'll usually still wait for a good deal, it's more rewarding to me that way.

It hasn't.

My gameplay has changed due to the hype wearing off, rather than bells. I'm not rich in the grand scheme of things though. I've around 3.5 mil in the bank.
