how good can a relationship get with villager?

I've been playing for a bit and was wondering what's the "closest" you can get to a villager. I know you can be good friends with them and send gifts but is that all there is? (like a bestie option or just cooll friendship aspects to unlock!) :0

I haven't noticed any, but at one point I did get the nook-miles reward "True Friends" which came with a title I can't quite remember. It has three ranks, I've only gotten the first. Seems to have unlocked for maxing-out friendship with a villager.
