It really matters what food. If it is sushi or pizza I eat it in ligit 1 second coz its so good and i can’t stop eating it. If it is some other good food, I will eat it quite fast. If it is food i hate, it takes me forever coz i just sit there thinking if the food will make me sick or if i should throw it in the bin. Or if i should eat it really fast with my nose blocked. Or if i literally drench it in tomato sauce and eat it so i wont taste any of the super gross food.
I'm a bit of both honestly? It just depends on my mood. I noticed since I've moved in with my father I've started eating a lot slower... At my mom's, I tried to eat as fast as possible so I could just go back upstairs, as I dislike my step-dad and tried avoiding him as much as possible. Now, living with my dad I definitely eat a lotttt slower. I'm glad, because eating fast can be unhealthy, I've heard ;w;
i’ve always been a fast eater; if this is a trait that can be passed down genetically, i most definitely got it from my father, who’s usually the first one done at dinner time.
that being said, snacks and meals usually never take longer than 5-15 minutes for me to eat aha c’:
It all really depends on what I'm eating, but generally, I'm a bit of a slow eater. I guess with smaller meals, I'm able to eat relatively fast and sometimes can finish before everybody else does. But I feel in bigger meals, I'm usually much slower. I kind of try to eat as quickly as I can when it's something I don't like, but it still takes me a long time to eat.
Depends - when I'm with my friends I always feel like I inhale the food before everyone else lmao. But when I'm eating with my family, they always somehow finish before me and I'm the known slow eater of the family(tm).
When I'm alone (and not rushing) I prefer to take my time with food, because I'm kind of afraid of choking on it
I tend to skip lunch, so by the time supper rolls around I eat quickly because I'm hungry. On a normal day I try to focus on eating slowly and put my bowl and spoon/fork down between bites, but it doesn't always work out that way.
fast (i eat dinner in like 10ish mins usually) but I can slow down when I need to. The trick usually being, focus more on talking than actually eating at events/etc.
depending on how hungry I am I can potentially eat really fast. though I don't like to do that because I've learned that eating too fast can cause some digestion problems (I've experienced this as well). so I generally eat very slowly.
it's funny, I'm actually eating right now. I've only eaten about 1/3 of what's here and I've been sitting here for 20 minutes. I keep having to get up and reheat it in the microwave lol.
It varies for me, and usually is just affected by what I'm trying to eat, the amount I've been given and also the distractions around me that might pull my focus away from eating. Sometimes I'll be able to finish my food in 5-10 minutes or so, other times it'll take me an hour or longer to get it done.
