how does bush, bamboo, and tree spacing work?

things i know:
- bushes can be planted adjacent to each other
- trees need at least once space between each other
- bushes can be planted adjacent to trees and bamboo
- i can plan a maximum of 12 bushes/trees/bamboo in a row

questions:
- i have no idea how bamboo spacing works LOL. do they follow the same rules as trees? do they need at least once space between each other too? can i plant two bamboos adjacent to each other diagonally or no? can i grow a bamboo right beside chopped down bamboo?
- for the 12 max in a row rule, if i have 12 bushes in a row, and the next one is beside the last bush but diagonally, does that count as a part of the max 12 or can it be a new "row of 12"? if yes, will it work if the last one of the "12" is a bush, and the "new 12" is a tree?

Bump. No one answered if cut down bamboo acts the same as bushes or trees, and I'd like to know that too. Can full grown bamboo be next to cut bamboo?

I've never tested it myself, but since trees cannot be planted next to tree stumps, and bamboo acts as a tree does for all intents and purposes, I am guessing you cannot plant new bamboo next to cut-down bamboo. This is all speculation, though! It would look kind of cool if you could do that, I think.

Im pretty sure the bamboo, cut or not, is just like a tree and needs 1 space all around
