Sometimes, I see threads that say bump. Does that mean it gets sent back to the first page along with recent posts? That's what I think it is at least. Also, how does it work? Do you just type in "bump" and it gets sent back or do you have to do something else as well?

If you post anything in a thread, the thread gets sent back to the first page. Bump is basically a post saying that you are posting just to bring more attention to the thread. You are "bumping" the thread back up to the first page.

you dont have to type "bump" but most people do because thats just the general term. some people put other things in place of a bump too, like a picture or something of the sort. just any type of post to make sure the thread can go back to the top of the board.

I wanted to add there is general etiquette for bumping, you don't just do it every five minutes, maybe every hour or so

i think the rules are that you can only bump every two hours but if you're posting somewhere like club nintendo that's not necessary because not too many threads are created there daily. i think that bump means "bring up my post" but that's probably just something i've heard lol, hope this helps! btw posts will merge if you post within half an hour of the last one, and the last post must be yours if that makes sense to you
