How do your choose your villagers?

I choose them on their looks and if their houses the exteriors look decent like del he is awesome and his house goes with my modern town I mainly like houses with black modern roofs but other ones will do too

i chose mine because of their houses, colour scheme, and how well theyd fit into a forest town.

At first I thought it was stupid to pick villagers, then I realised that once those popular ones came into my town, they had a spark because they were so cute C:

I just take villagers that are cool. Have a combination of cute and cool. Some examples of amazing villagers I choose are: Hans, Mira, Lionel, Chester as cool. Merengue, Pecan, and Tammi as cute.

I also keep the terrible ones away like Marshal, Bob, and Lolly.

I don't have any kind of preference, I can love a mouse just like a dog... peppy or uchi. I'm living the game in a very strong way, I love to see if they can connect with the others, if they're funny or if they seems happy in my town (for example Beardo went away because of this).

I'm not too mad, I would never have 3 villagers with the same personality (it would become really boring)

Since most of he dialogue is repeated by type, I want to get the cute ones since hey all pretty much speak the same. ^^ i do want a variety of types too however.

I just pick the ones I like. No other method or reasoning. "Oh, you're cute/neat/awesome looking. I want you." Doesn't matter to me if they're popular or not. I have 3 cat villagers because I like them. No other reason.

A town full of Normal villagers would be as boring as talking to just one person and one person only for a whole year.

Likewise, a town full of one species would drive me crazy.

And I won't have anyone to make fun of in a town full of cutesies.

But to each their own I guess. Nothing wrong with these kinds of towns.

Once I cycle Mitzi and Lolly back in, I'll pick up another cat villager and just have an all-cat town.

At first, it was more so "come and go" for the villagers. But it was after the first few voided villagers that I didn't like that I started to get animals that I found cute, cool, funny, etc. Kyle is one of my original ten villagers, and I'm so glad I've kept him all this time! I am absolutely in LOVE with him! Heheh <3 Fuchsia was in my town not once, but twice... And both times she accidentally moved out :'( I'm trying to cycle enough villagers out so I can get her back and complete my dream villager list! I'm just one off!

It was after Fuchsia and Kyle that I went onto the Animal Crossing wiki and started picking and choosing which animals I liked. I'm not going to lie, I was being shallow and going off of looks for a lot of them haha others, though, like Stitches, Whitney, and Olivia, I had back in my town in Wild World. They're so nostalgic and I've loved them ever since <3 I absolutely wanted them in my New Leaf town no matter what, and I'm so happy that I've gotten them!

Cuteness factor...... But I try to get a villager from every personality (jock is my least favourite, although Rudy is pretty cute ><). Peppies are adorable, Apple is my absolute favourite villager of them all! When I started playing new leaf I didn't know that there was such a big community for trading different villagers, but since I found out I'm trying to control how fast I go through villagers LOL .. there's so many cute ones.....

I chose my villagers based on a cuteness factor...I have 7 girls and 3 boys. rofl

However, for my possible second town, the villagers I choose will be based on a theme I've chosen.

I chose my town based on personality so when one villager moves out, a villager of the same personality will move in.

I just chose from a list of personalities that I liked and required no more than one type of species in my town. I also had a theme for my town (forest retreat for city-dwellers), so I also chose villagers that were more modern/hipster looking.
