How do you use your rooms in your house?

Such at the second floor, basement, side rooms, etc.


I use my second floor like a little sitting room, my basement is...kind of like a real basement - I use it to put out stuff I like but doesn't really match anything. My back room off the main room is a big bedroom with the alpine series mostly, my left side room is a kitchen, and the right side room is going to be a bathroom (if bathroom-type items ever show up in my game). My main room is mostly like a living room.

Left: girly bedroom
Right: tea room
Back: sweets kitchen
Basement: villager picture gallery
Upstairs: luxury bathroom

Right now my main room is Cabin and Christmas themed. It's nice and cozy for the holiday season

My basement is my Sloppy set, my rear room is my pastel-customized Kiddie set, my right room is Alpine, my left room is the beginnings of a kitchen and the upstairs is Weeding Day pieces. I haven't fully expanded all of the extra rooms yet!

My house is currently under construction so this is what I plan on making my houses to look like.

If I'm gonna use a set of furniture i use all of it including the beds... which makes it weird for like sitting areas...

My main room is now a fruit bar, with all variations of fruit furniture and a slushy machine and its super fun, planning a cityscape bar on my second floor! just need to sit down and plan it...
backroom is my personal rococo bedroom but i added extra personality with random extra furniture, like cat tower!
left room is a cozy cabinish feel with alpine and modern wood furniture, had a wreath and christmas tree for holidays
Right room is astro mixed with sleek furnitures, also have telescope and aurora screen
Basement is an ancient looking room with ore custom furniture to make it look like an ancient palace, its a work in progress but hopefully that inspires you!

You guys are so creative that it makes me feel boring for doing a generic sort of house like living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc. But I think once I get more money and furniture I'll be able to be more creative. Maybe with my second account's house I can be more creative too but again I'd need to not be broke lmao

that is how i started mine! I went with what I liked: fruit furniture, learned how to customize it and went from there... i kept finding fun furniture like the cat tower, slushy machine, palm tree lamp and made it personalized from their!
start with what you like and what you want to do and as you go you will get more ideas! As long as your house impresses yourself, who cares about everyone else! that's what I strive to do!

Mayor Betty's Manor:
Main: Living room + sewing room + computer room! (I have the kotasu and cushions in the centre for snacking and doing homework)
Left: Nursery and Toy themed room for my imaginary kids. LOL ; w ;
Right: Bathroom and a little laundry area which is under construction right now.
Up: Kitchen / Dining room (My favorite room, hehe)
Upstairs: Princess themed bedroom
Basement: Backyard (Pool, playground, and grill)

Resident Allan's House:
(He is named after my boyfriend IRL)

Main: Library area for students to do homework, study, and read.
Up: Cafeteria area + Bakery shop
Left: Art class for painting, sculpting, etc.
Right: Chemistry & Biology class + a little plant area
Upstairs: Principal office & Counsellor's area
Basement: Nurse's room (My mayor works as a nurse at the school)

Resident Boo's house:
It is under construction but I want to make a tourist area... maybe the beach, spa, gift shop, aquarium, and butterfly garden?

Resident Aaden's house:
It is under construction too but I'm planning to make his house a hotel along with a sushi and seafood restaurant.

Right now I only have one room because I'm too lazy to expand. Tomorrow I'm getting an upstairs though! But anyway, I basically just put all my desired furniture in there for the theme I want it to be when I get the complete set I want. Right now it looks great, but all I need is a Sci-Fi wall for it to look un-tacky.

The Main Room is.... The Main Room with regular furniture.
The 2nd Floor is my mayor's bedroom, my favorite room so far.
The Left Room is a Seasonal/Special room. Right now its the Ice series.
I haven't built the Back, Right, and Basement yet. I know the Back Room will have the Sleek Series because its my all time favorite series. The rest will have to wait.

My room to the left is a full on kitchen/dining room
My right room is a sweets set room
My room at the back is a regal room with blue instead of gold crafted by reese
The 2nd floor is the princess room

The basement is like a teenagers bedroom, with a bed a stereo, table and box sofa and a gaming machine. Plus some stuff on the floor for fun

My rooms all just display certain furniture sets. I think it's really cool when I go into someone's home and can tell which room is the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc., but I've never decorated like that in AC, lol.

Resident Mastodon​

Main: uhh, it's space themed, with some of the pieces from the space set. It has an astro bed so somewhat a bedroom? Haha
Right: repairs/spare parts room. where i designed the room to have spare astronaut suits.
Back: plant room! lots of plants, like a lot
Left: computer room. there's a lot of servers and computer desks. behind are reel-to-reels on top of effect racks and on the walls are air conditioners to cool down the machines!
Upstairs: a spaceship cockpit!

My main house is spaceship themed so yeah.

the first floor rooms are one big library!
Upstairs: an observatory! i put regal bookcases at the back to keep that library theme consistent.
Downstairs: gyroid room with several different music boxes! you can experiment with them haha
