How do you spawn a fly?

I managed to get ants with a rotten turnip but no flies ever spawn. How do I get a fly?

You need to put down garbage outside (eg. boots, can, tire)

Rotten Turnips work, too. They also spawn Ants.

I got one with a rotten turnip. Although they seem to be much more rare than ants (at least for me, I only ever saw one fly but I saw 9-10 ant lines).

Try catching a bunch of garbage and keep them close but also a bit spread out from each other.

I actually saw it from a can!!! Then choked and didn’t catch it. . But at least I know I can get one eventually.
