How do you regrow grass?

When villagers move they leave the huge patch and was just wondering on how to regrow the grass.

If you don't plan on time traveling, I'd just place flowers over the dirt patch and water daily. Grows back really fast!

Bushes and flowers help! Just make sure you don't run over the patch and don't time travel

Try not walking over it if you don't have to. Also, from what I've heard, the more you start the game the more the grass deteriorates!

i just put flowers over it and don't bother watering them, and grass still grows back pretty fast. i don't walk on the grass i'm tryingcto regrow unless i have to, since i noticed that it takes longer for grass to regrow if you walk on it regularly.

i currently have flowers like almost EVERYWHERE in my town to regrow grass.... lol... i used to run a lot when i made my town and i didn't realise how ugly it got until like a month later smh
