as in, do you have a realistic house with a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc. or do you prefer decorative rooms, like a mad scientist lab, cafe, store etc.?

i have a realistic house, though i do have a starry/witchy room which i guess is decorative. but i've been thinking of switching it up to use my more fun stuff, like a chocolate/candy room or a toy maker/shop :)

My house is all realistic. I have a main room, which is a mix of everything, a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom, an indoor pool in my basement, and an extra room upstairs idk what to do with

i used to be all about traditional designs in new leaf but now i kinda just throw ideas together lmao - currently, i have a living room, room based off of my favourite tv show, an arcade, a bedroom and a room themed around my island - i don’t have much of a clue about what i’m gonna do with my back room, yet ;u;

My main house has realistic rooms like living room/office, study, bathroom, penthouse though my kitchen is a little bit unusual, but I like it. The rooms of my second and third characters depends mostly on their respective interests, but I like to have at least 3 bedrooms so they could rest lol.

My first floor and basement are pretty realistic, but my upper floor is meant to be a mountain viewing area since I got the Summit Wallpaper and live on the third layer. I'm missing the Cloud Flooring to really make it work the way I'd like it to, but I'm sure I'll get it eventually.

My main room is a mixture of a bedroom and dining room (lol), while the side rooms are toilet, study and kitchen. The upper floor and basement are pretty random, the former being a grassy room based entirely around the crop circles flooring and the latter being a gaming room.

definitely have a realistic house with an upstairs bedroom, downstairs bathroom, and kitchen.

though the final two rooms are a bit of a toss up as the backroom is a greenhouse and the basement being a dedicated zodiac themed room.

I am not going for a realistic house (more a mix of realistic and theme), since I am going to stick to my ancient Greece theme. My main character has the name of a goddess (Despoina), and in my mind she is the main priestess of this island... so she will have rooms that resemble temples and treasuries. But she also needs a place to sleep so I guess that will be the realistic part of the house.

At some point I will make a second character (Erato), who will have an inn for all the visitors to the sanctuaries/temples I will have in my town. So that will be a realistic house, though I will not use any modern furniture in it. However, will probably look more medieval than ancient Greek, because of the current furniture in the game. Or I will just make everyone sleep on hay beds, I don't know yet.

My house is big empty right now. I just haven’t found much furniture I like for indoors, so I’ve focused all my time and energy decorating outside.

In previous games, and in this one when I get around to it, I like to create realistic rooms. I do appreciate the themed wallpaper and flooring though, and wish I had a use for it.

My main character's house is made of real rooms, but following some logic of having things a character who lives alone would have. They've got stuff like a bedroom and a kitchen, but no living room since they already have the bedroom as their personal area. As such their main room is an indoor garden instead.
That said, I find myself not very inspired at the basic rooms with little room for personal flair like the kitchen, so I'm hoping to find interesting new furniture in future updates.

My other houses are intended to be themed. A research facility, for example, or a winter house. With south hemisphere now having frozen furniture available, I'm going need to get on visiting islands and collecting snowflakes!

In new leaf I liked to have my rooms by set, but I think new horizons wanted it to be a bit more realistic, so that's what I have done, though my rooms tend to stick with furniture from a few different sets, so it all matches nicely C: For now, I have the main room with a little bit of everything, a bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, a decorative room with bunny day stuff, and then my basement with diys 🤡

My house is pretty realistic: in the main room I created a living room and office, I have a bathroom and a kitchen, one of the extra rooms down stairs I have as a nail salon (Doing nails is my passions irl), upstairs I have my bedroom, I just got the basement for now it’s empty.

My house is unrealistic xD

It's a display house that's suppose to replicate the museum!
Upstairs is for artwork
Left room is bugs
Back room is fossils
Right room is fish
Main room is a seating/office area
Basement is a studio apartment

Tbh, I'm not personally a fan of the very-realistic houses, they don't give me enough room to have fun ;p
So currently my main room is a mess that kinda looks like a garden ig, because it's the first one I decorated and I like to keep it for now x)
The only other rooms I actually put thought into are upstairs & basement, idk what to do with the side rooms atm, but I wanna give myself time to find ideas :D Because I got my ideas for upstairs & basement randomly.

The former is a room themed around Flick & CJ, I have lots of models & items from the Fishing Tourney! I'm eager for the Bug-Off! I also have a Flick pattern I translated & edited a bit into the game, but since it's based on someone's pixel art and they haven't drawn CJ yet, Flick's the only one here for now haha.
And I have a long description (and pics) of my basement over there, but in short it's kind of like a bedroom/living-room for my character & the Able sisters since I like to imagine they live together ;p

i prefer to just throw random stuff into my rooms and then work around it. way more satisfying than just planning it out.

in this game, many of my rooms actually coincidentally had something to do with my interests—i have a tea room because i love tea, i have a study/kitchen because i love reading and cooking, i have a starry music room because i love playing music and the nighttime, i have a craft room/bedroom because that’s what my irl room looks like, etc. the other two rooms (bathroom and main room) have nothing to do with any of that, but i still love them.

Partially realistic, but I'm going to have one or two "crazy rooms" where I'll just go ham on a cool theme or seasonal items that I will decorate with each season.

My house is entirely realistic at the moment. Main room is living room + a loft for the kitchen, back room is bathroom, right room is my room, left is gym and upstairs is a library, with a somewhat gothic theme ^^
still don't know what to do with my basement....hmm

I haven't gotten around to making my rooms. I just threw in a bunch of stuff for now because my house is the last thing on my mind. I don't know how I want to decorate any of the rooms.
