how do you post a poll thread

I saw the settings for putting up the poll, but idk how to put the voting words in, like example I'm doing a poll about what color you like better and I have it set as a poll but how do I put in the red and orange on the top voting above the main post of the thread.

When posting a thread, you'll find the option Post a Poll in the Additional Options category. Tick the checkbox that creates the poll, select the number of options and then hit the Submit New Thread button.

You'll be sent to the poll creation tool, which let you customize the poll and implement it in the thread.

I was always worried if I make a mistake on posting a random poll so I never posted the poll to try it out to see the settings, but okay.
