How do you play?

I TT constantly. A couple days ago I was getting tired of the yellowish October grass andplusalso I was working on landscaping so I turned it back to April...all pretty again! =)
It took me a loong time before I TTed when I first got my City Folk town. I think each way has its charms.

I used to TT a looot to get all my dreamies before starting to landscape my town, then I set it back to real time so that the events in-game and irl are the same... but now I TT mostly because of trading purposes eheh

I have it set to the real time. I like for the seasons and holidays to match the real world when I'm playing. Makes it feel more realistic and doubles the fun on event days, too! Celebrating New Year's with my family and my villagers? Hell yeah. ♥

I keep my game set on the right time and date. If I do TT I'll always set it right afterwards. I like the game to be in the same season as I am in, it feels more realistic to me.

My games are both set to the right date, but I've set their times differently because of how my day is structured. Main town is set an hour ahead and my other game is set several hours behind. They're never the right time though. XD

I keep it set on real time as much as possible. The only exception if its late at night and I am awake. I usually only go back a few hours in that case.

I have mine set on real-time. I rarely TT nowadays, but if I do, it's usually only a couple of hours, or to get someone in boxes for collection on request. I have no problem with TTing at all, and do it all the time in my storage town, but in my main I like to take it easy nowadays and not rush as much as I used to.

I've already experienced a year in real time in game so now I just keep the date set during the cherry blossom festival for perpetual cherry blossoms lol.

Real time all the way. When I first played the original AC ten years ago I played properly until I got fed up of missing KK Slider too many times and then started messing with the date/time settings - that was the beginning of the end.

If just once I rolled the clock back to buy turnips or see KK perform, I know from that point onwards that time/date is meaningless and it's just down to "do I want to deny myself what I want?".

For that reason, I keep it pure. It's not necessarily convenient and it doesn't feel nice to realise you missed something you wanted but it's essential for the whole system to work. If you play it as intended then you'll be looking at the clock (I'm just kidding, you'll be looking at a phone or taskbar) saying "damn, the shops will be closed in ten minutes!" and that's a unique experience that I'm not going to discard this time around.

Last night I realised I needed more money to pay off my loan and that I'd need to scrape together 1K in order to get to the island so I could bug hunt for about 10-15 minutes which would leave me enough time to get back, sell my catches, pay off my loan and still have time to speak to Nook so that my next house expansion could be ready the next day.

I love that! I love playing, doing something else for half the day, then remembering that something else will be going on now that evening's rolled around. If I could just change to any time and any day then I'd cheat myself out of that experience. Unfortunately I think most if not all will have to learn this the hard way just as I did ten years ago. You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube.

I like real time also, it would be weird playing in a different season. Someone posted that they haven't played in a while and it put them a few days behind... that's not how the game works lol

I usually have it set to real time. Sometimes I'm on the same date as in real life but a few hours behind, if I can only play for a bit late at night, so that my villagers will be awake and the shops will be open.

Recently, my town is a bit behind. I'm aiming to catch up within a few days, but it's difficult. I stopped playing for a while in October and wanted to play the Halloween event, so I still have to gather mushrooms and prepare for the Harvest Festival before I can come back to the present.

Real time. I never TT. I don't want to lose any villagers, and I enjoy experiencing the same seasons in-game and in real life.

In my main town, I'll go forward a day or two, but I always try to stay at least within the same week. In my other towns, I jump around because one is for cycling, and the second one I am not attached to any villagers yet. Just working on PWPs, so it doesn't matter so much yet.

I time travel most of the time, but mostly to keep anyone from moving. I only place like once or so a week, so as you could see without time travel that could get very bad very fast.

I used to be a time traveling wizard. Now I just play every now and again and do dailies.

Real time. Playing in real time was part of what attracted me to this game in the first place.

But having said that, I am planning to do a massive amount of time travelling soon. I'll be spending 23/12/14 to 19/1/15 away from my 3DS for its own safety. So I will be time travelling on 22/12/14 to attend Toy Day, Countdown, Roald's birthday and Hugh's birthday. When I get back I'll reset it to the current date and go on from there.

I play on real time...most of the time.
I'm joining in on the one year challenge.
So, I will be playing in real time.

I'm a cycler, so I time travel a lot haha but once my dream villagers are back in my town, I'll go back to playing real-time :) Actually...maybe once I finish breeding my hybrids and cover my entire town with them haha
