How do you make your dreamies never leave your town?

Does anyone have any tips? Because I really don't want any of my dreamies to leave. Like ever.

I talk to them daily with all my characters and do whatever they ask me to do as my mayor

Lock them inside their houses. That way they can't escape!

This. But I also pay attention to pings. So, for example, if someone pinged me to leave, and i said no, i know in a few days someone else will ping and try to move. If you are diligent and still can't figure out who the mover is, what i do is, i go 7 days into the future, but start a new save file. Then i will see who moved. I come back to real time and that mover will almost always ping, so i can say no. I hope that makes sense...

You just need to spam talk to at least two of your villagers daily. When at least two talk about random rumors, then it's safe!

Simple answer: Talk to them everyday. The only way they can leave is if you ignore them.

I wish when you started for the day, they would meet you at your door to tell you they plan to move. Or, if that is against what Nintendo's is trying to do, they could at least make it where they will be the absolute first ones to ping you the day they decide to move. No more Chief running up to me to ask if I prefer spaghetti or mac and cheese and taking the ping away from Flora, who plans to announce her moving plans!
