How do you make your bells?

I used to fish in my town and on the island to get the sharks and stuff. Recently I have been selling turnips which I like a lot better because I made 10 million in one go so that was pretty sweet. Just have to make sure to get a high price or find someone with a high price. I still fish though... It's calming.

Whoaaaahhhh 10 mil! That's awesome. If i ever were to get into the stalk market, how many turnips should you buy from Joan to make a good profit?

I go ahead and switch the clock to 11:00 PM and go to the Island to get Bugs and Fishes, my record Bell amount from the island was 650,000 Bells. Now i normally make 220,000 in one visit.

wait-- if you use a side character for selling turnips, can your main character still time travel?? or will one player's time-travelling spoil everybody's turnips in your town???

I go beetle hunting at the island as much as I can, but like you said, it can get boring after a while, so I just look for little alternatives like fishing, finding the money rock, etc.

I made a lot of money on the Stalk Market, but I have three copies of the game, so I'm almost guaranteed a decent return at some point in the week. It's even more effort than beetle farming though...

This is exactly what I did. I made many millions of bells that will last me a long time from this (plus I got two gold badges on my alt)
The only thing is that it takes time and patience to go back and forth filling your locker and pockets and tracking down Joan (pro tip: while filling your lockers, dig holes around her so she can't get away and you won't have to search for her again until you leave town and come back)

I just did it so I can confirm that as long as the player holding turnips does NOT time travel, you're all good
you can time travel as your main character as much as you want. even if I'm in june and you're in december and I come to your town to sell turnips, they won't rot despite the fact that we're about 6 months apart

I just use the island for beetles and money making, and that's about it also post on threads on here to trade in my tbt bells plus add more stuff to my one and only animal crossing game yaaay for collecting things <3

I usually go to the island. My retail has horrible rates for turnips so I've hardly used it for that. I used to go to the island more when I was first starting out the game. I only have 1 alternative house to pay for so I've been pretty lax with it lately. Nowadays, I just fish or sell my gems and the items my villagers tend to give me. =v=

island farming and occasionally, finding some users here who have retail offering premium prices fof perfect peaches. made 2m bells by just selling like 15 basket of perfect peaches.

Selling TBT a long time ago but if I look at what I spent then and how much the rate has gone up... wow and ouch, LOL. I would have been soooooooooooooooooooooooooo rich!!!

At the moment I sell beetles and go late night fishing, I find the stalk market really confusing. Although, selling beetles and fish is getting really tedious -.-

Go to the island at night and catch sharks and beetles, I catch like 5 golden beetles in one tour every day.
