how do you get villager photos?

I have gotten nine villager photos, without time traveling. There's a lot of luck involved, but basically I just gift wrapped gifts everday. To increase your chances, talk to them a lot and try to get requests. Sending letters may help too, but I never did much of that. Good luck!

I managed to get 2 photos by giving villagers foreign wrapped fruits daily, it takes a while, but its worth it. Good luck though!

it's weird because axel has been on my island since around the beginning of april and i've spoke to him and given him sport stuff everyday since he is a jock so surely i should at least have his photo

Had hopkins as one of my first three that you make diys for so he's been around the longest of my villagers maybe that's something?

I haven't managed to get any photo neither, but I have changed most of my original villagers and began just recently giving wrapped coconuts everyday...hopefully you will get some photos soon!
