How do you get back into the game?

ive taken a break from AC as i was replaying all the pokemon games i have. so it took me like 2months to actually complete all the games. by the time i go back to AC ive realized ive lost motivation to play it. i made me fully go back into the game was getting half of my villagers and replacing them with new dreamies (FLURRY<3).

UPDATE

I've finally managed to properly get back into the game, though it's bee a slow process. But I'm so happy to be back and playing it regularly. I'm trying to think of a third writer for my literary town. I have Emily Dickinson and Emily Bront? so far. I was wondering what would be a nice contrast to those. Maybe Shakespeare? Maybe Sappho (so it's women writer's he he). Virginia Woolf feels to close in time to Dickinson and Bront? and too thematically overlapping, even though I have a fantastic lighthouse PWP I wanted to use. Or maybe a WoC writer? I don't think I'd do J.K. Rowling just because HP is already so represented in the Ancro fandom.

Usually a friend will start playing, and in teaching them the ropes, I get back into it. It helps to set goals, too.

To get back into the game, I went onto the internet and typed in dream towns, it helped me get into the game and get back an understanding of how the game worked since I completely forgot which button was what, I have wild world to thank for that.

I also thought of a theme like at the time it was a forest, green everything- I even chose villagers that had green houses and that were green themselves la lol! I may of gone slightly over the top lol but it really influenced me and as a result I got back into the game and created a town again and got a good town map and villagers.

I have seen your update but I thought I'd just tell u some further ideas in case you get bored again

Thank you, I really appreciate it because honestly I find I'm still struggling. I was playing consitently all week but then today was just an awful frustrating day and I had to put it down. I don't know what happened. I go really frustrated about my theme, I was trying to put a fence PWP next to a specific house and there wasn't room because of a rock. So then I deleted my resident and made a new house a bunch of times trying to find a good space for the house and fence PWP. It just wasn't working and I got a headache for playing for too long and it just became stressful and I gave up. I think I have trouble figuring where to draw the line, like how deep into the game I want to get? And also, I probably have trouble being aware of at what point it stops being enjoyable? I don't know how to strike a good balance.

So yeah, it's hard. Any tips?

I play for hours on end. I was like this at one point and it really frustrates me, I just found a way around it. When you say about you being angry because of the rock, you resorted to deleting your resident; you didn't necessarily need to do it, were boths sides of your house occupied? I know it wouldnt of been what you wanted but it would of been less stressful than deleting a resident, although you have already deleted it, I reccomend you spend a long amount of hours away from the game to cure your headache and write on a piece of paper what you want to fulfill in an animal crossing day. What I have found if you still have problems is time travelling.

As you have said, you are getting frustrated of how long it takes for things. Like maybe development permit? I fell you because actually in fact I created a new town on the 10th and I have got relatively far by doing so. Time travelling puts more fun into the game and allows mod enjoyment becaus sit puts you into the position to do further things, Like now you have projects going on, you can begin to landscape your town.

You probably need funds for this and if you are struggling for this, I can pop over and give you 1 mil in game bells therefore this won't be a problem.
If this has helped then great but if not I apologise. Good luck getting your town up and running.
I am just going to eat my dinner. If you need my help I will be back mommentarily. :)

So there was a cliff on the left side, rock on the right, train track on top and villagers on the bottom. I just felt very fenced in, but now I kind of regret it because I could have TTd the villager directly under, out (Cranston, ugh), even though ideally I wanted the PWP next to the house. But yeah, I regret it now because the new place is just as squished, if not more, with less room. (Just under the plaza, two sides are a river).

Can you give me some examples? I'm so bad at this kind of planning. That's actually probably why I feel so vulnerable to "overwhelm" and lol I have ADHD so that could be it too.

Thank you! I have 11M IGB at the moment, and I think that's plenty, right? I don't feel frustrated financially, I feel frustrated by the space and organisation of my town. Hmm.

But thanks so much for replying. I opened my 3ds back up after spending a few hours away from it, and now I'm back to wondering if I should just but my house back to where it was before I deleted my resident. Maybe I should post pics...
