How Do You Get a Camper to Move in Again?

So far I've only invited Amiibo villagers to move in from the campsite... but today MAPLE showed up

I had a chance to ask her to move in but she said no... but if I keep asking she'll agree, right? RIGHT? Is there something special I need to do? She NEEDS to move in

EDIT: She offered to move in, but asked for a villager to move out I didn't want to... so hopefully resetting will change the villager! If not, I guess I can let Coach go. For MAPLE

Just keep talking to her. Even if you lose the game, just keep talking to get and she'll ask again. It's really annoying the random ones can say no multiple times. It might take a while and then even longer if you want her to kick out someone specific. If you don't like who she chooses, just hit the home and force quit so it doesn't save her choice.

Yeah, just keep talking to her and asking her when you get the chance. Eventually she'll either ask to play a game or ask to move in outright. Be aware that if she asks to replace a villager you'd like to keep, you need to force quit before finishing the dialogue.

I guess just keep talking to her ;-; sometimes you have to talk to them a million times before they bother to say yes. Also i feel your pain ik what it's like to hear them say no... its like a punch in the guts lmao.

tip: if they wanna replace a villager that you don't want to go, just close out of the game w/o saving and next time there's a 10% chance it'll be someone else

Yah, that's what I did. I kind of panicked when I first asked her and she said no, 'cause I was nervous there was some weird, obscure reason she wouldn't move in! And she's one of my biggest dreamies She's the first villager I ever met in ANY AC game (the original, GC one) and her house will look PERFECT beside Sherb's!

Yah, even the nicest villagers can start to drive you nuts if they won't leave!

It really annoys me how campers will refuse to live on your island randomly multiple times. It also makes me feel like I harass them if I talk to them 100 times after they say no

To be fair, that's pretty much how it went down in ACNL These little animals are pretty flaky.

BUT! I finally managed to get Maple to ask Chevre to move! Not only that, but someone happened to want Chevre, so she even found a good home.
Overall, it's been a very good day

congrats on finally getting maple to move in/replace the correct villager you wanted gone! my friend and i spent like almost a whole hour trying to get raymond from the campsite when the game first launched and he kept picking the wrong ones no matter how many times we reset lmfao. we were able to get him to move in too, of course, but that was just waaaay too much work compared to amiibo move ins. it's nice we can pick who we want gone with amiibos compared to a roulette with natural campers.
