I was visiting some dream addresses earlier and they were so nice it made me realize how shabby looking I feel like my own town is. How do you guys feel about your towns? Do you like them a lot or are you often envious of other people's towns instead?

I should probably refrain from looking at DAs for a long time...

Yes, I try to take them with a grain of salt. I'm not that creative so I just try to appreciate them for what they are and not compare my town to theirs! :)

I'm pretty satisfied with my town despite not putting in nearly as much effort into it as some of those amazing dream towns. I'm fine enough with having a basic path and a decent arrangement of PWPs and greenery, and I really don't care enough to plot-reset everyone into perfect spots as long as they don't crush my precious hybrids! There are some really impressive towns out there, though.

Yeah, people's DAs always make me so envious; they put so much effort into making their towns look amazing (and then you see mine orz)

I have my moments where I'd like my town to look like that, super organized and pretty and whatnot. But then I realize it takes me forever just to plop down a pattern on the ground and move all the trees and blahblah

tl;dr -- too lazy to do much about my town. It's good enough for me.

I think my towns alright. It's a work in progress and I am envious of many of the beautiful DA's out there but I'm sure I'll get there one day.

I don't think I'll ever be satisfied. I've considered getting a second copy of the game just to try and start fresh without losing what I've already got.

I like it. I try my hardest to make it convenient as possible for me, and to try to make it as nice as I feel it needs to be. I got all my villager too, so that makes it special for me too.

My town is still in the works. I don't have a single path laid down, and I only have 1 pwp built so far, the campsite. My town looks really terrible and sometimes I feel embarrassed to have people who come for sigs or fruit see it.

I like how my town looks, but recently, have become more than a little displeased with my map. oh well.
I like to see really fancy towns, but I wouldn't like having one. I like to run around and not worry about dodging flowers and such. but that's just me.

i dont really like my town. i see DA's of peoples towns on here, and i admire these people who put patterns all over their towns, can line up trees/flowers/bushes/etc in organized ways, have a bunch of diffrent PWPs and simultaneously have awesome houses as well. i could never measure up to some peoples towns

I'm really happy with mine, despite it not being a picture perfect town. It's pretty and functional while still feeling natural. Still, it's taken a LOT of landscaping to get it to where it is and I'm not done yet!! 8/10 dreamies and then I'll be able to landscape everything else. So close! :)

Ahh, don't feel bad about your towns. Theres no wrong way to decorate. Some towns are really impressive, but not everyone wants fancy paths, etc. I personally like to decorate mine more simple. That's how I like it. I spend more time on my houses.I've probably visited and reviewed more towns than the average ac player, and I always point out the nice things in peoples towns.I love how they are all different and special in their own way.

I love my town so far, but it's still a wip. c:

Don't let people tell you how to play your game though. Animal Crossing is a game where you can do nearly anything, so if you don't want to focus on landscaping as much, it doesn't matter. It's a game, after all. ^^

I'm very happy with my town map though the landscaping itself is still a work in progress.
Before I used to feel horrible when seeing people's dream towns and once thought of quitting acnl because of it which was honestly an immature thought on my part.
But afterwards after seeing more, I decided to take inspiration from it instead that helped me better my landscaping and town in general. I'd visit dream addresses and look at screenshots of other towns whenever I'm stuck.
I know it sounds horrible and cheesy but it really does pay to take inspiration and use it as a stepping stone rather than constantly comparing it to your own town. But this is simply speaking from personal experience with my acnl.

I like my town so far and I try to stick to my theme as much as possible. It's still a major WIP but I'm not doing much atm with it. I tend to visit a lot of dream towns too~ and yea, they're all really pretty.

I deleted my town to start over and make it better c: still searching for that one map tho lol its okay i got time and it will come eventually

Pfft. I'd be happy enough if I could manage to stick with a town.
So far, it's going pretty well, actually. I don't even want to reset, which is a rarity.
I just started it a couple days ago. So, as far as landscaping and whatnot, I haven't really gotten around to it.
Plus, I don't really have the resources, to do so, but seeing other people's beautiful and wonderful towns, I do get
a tad bit jealous, and think, "Well, why couldn't I have thought of that!?" and the like, but I'll figure stuff out....
I don't tend to want to visit dream addresses, because there are so many PWPs that I don't even know about, and
I want to keep that way. I like to have a tiny bit of surprise, sometimes, ya know...

I just ended up buying a second copy of the game, it only cost me $9 out of pocket so I said 'why not.'
I'm going to plan on focusing on my main (current) town the most, but for my second one I'm going to work on a perfect map (I already have the exact one I want in mind) and getting my villagers in perfect spots (preparing for tons of plot resetting). That way if I'm unhappy with one town, I have a second to work on as well.

It's a work in progress (only started it a week ago.). It's gonna take awhile to get to the point where it'll be beautiful, but I'm alright with that.

I love my town. Sure I see some dream addresses and really love that perfect *something* about it, but I really do like my town alot! Still working on it. Keep on truckin' everyone! :)
