How do you feel about the new villager house interiors?

Overall I'm happy with them, except Rodeo's house. I loved his house in NL, with a nice blue dark tint and Stale Cupcakes playing. Now it looks like he's in a plain dorm, like why lol (and his gown drives me crazy, I gave him a bunch of clothes). I get he studies astronomy, but feels like a downgrade.

There are so many villagers would just literal trash in their house and it makes me mad. What is chief house suppose to be
Yeah my friend got Billy, and was super happy because he loves him, and loved his interior in NL. His reaction was priceless with the new discovery.

On one hand, I usually prefer "boring" styles. For example I have Goldie, Cherry, Yuka and Henry and I love their style of house. All of them have a room that I could perfectly fit into my house, and all 4 are different enough to suit them. On the other hand there are the house that try to match the villager, like Patty's, which is a meadow and since she's a cow it kind of suits her (and at least she has a hammock to sleep...). And finally (on the third hand), I have what I call the weird houses. Bruce for example, I know he's a badass and all that but he's house is just... wel..., and Hornsby (who I luckily have with a starter house) with a house that looks literally as a dumpster? For me it makes no sense...

I don't mind them overall, some of them looking even much better now than in the previous games in my opinion. The only one which bothers me kinda however is the one of Chief. Like, what is his house suppose to be, an in-door flea market? A collection of random trash items?

It depends really, some of them are actually pretty nice - I could name quite a few from the top of my head, but the ones I know have gorgeous interiors are Julian, Elvis and Diana. However, some of them can be very plain and underwhelming. I guess for the most part, I tend to prefer the interiors that look regal and sophisticated, and the interiors that don't really resemble a house (Beau for example), I'm not the biggest fan of.

I think they did hit the nail right on the head with variety, as some houses are quite unique and witty (Gala and Ruby as examples).

I was kinda disappointed with some of them... It's mostly because of the lack of furniture sets. I also prefer 'boring' styles, but since there's not a lot of furniture options so many of the houses look the same.

Kiki's house was my favorite in NL, with the ranch furniture and the grand piano it looked so cozy. But her house now seems so incomplete and empty.

And I also hated Chief's house when I first saw it, it made me so confused lol
But now I kinda appreciate how bold and unique it is...

I agree, I had Muffy and static in my NL town and their houses look a bit bland in NH. Nevertheless, I really like the both of them so I will be keeping them. Also, Roscoe’s house isn’t cool anymore and he doesn’t even wear the checkered shirt :(

static having modern series and blue/purple items since the start then suddenly not, says a lot about new horizons lack of furniture 🤐

I LOVE the villagers' new houses, especially flora's! I also love roald and Wade's houses because they're full of ice and fish!

I hate them. For the most part, anyway. It's so depressing to go in a villager's house and see they have nowhere to sit or sleep. Or that they have literal garbage laying around. Even the ones that have house themed houses, the lack of the classic sets really hurt the interior designs. I remember having Static in WW and thinking his house was so cool I would just go there to hang out. I looked up his new one and it just doesn't fit him at all. Practically the only nice looking furniture set is Rattan and even if they add in the classic sets later I doubt they'll update the villagers' interiors to match.

Of course, there are some villager interiors that are really nice. I looove what they did with Chevre and Nan. I adore Marshal's interior (I messed it up by giving him furniture though, I might have to bounce him off a friend's island, ugh). Stitches' is sooo cute. And I really like Velma's - it's interesting and less traditional but there's couch and chair so you can still tell someone lives there.

Overall, though, yeah, I'm really disappointed in the villager interiors.
Like wth is going on with Billy's house up there? What on earth were they trying to convey? That is straight up character assassination omg

I don't know,, I kinda dig Ruby's space interior! She's moon rabbit! She's a space geek like me. uvu Oh and Diana's is so..relaxing.

Exactly. I have Marshal and Stitches too, and they actually have nice interiors and they make sense and fit the characters (their houses actually look better in NH imo) but yeah I really want to know their reasoning for any garbage at all. Like the flooring makes me want to take a bath. Poor Billy.

I find Diana's house so boring. I gave her a lot of hanging plants before I realized that they'd never display wall hangings. Now I'm trying to tweak her house with furniture but she keeps asking to buy critters from me and I can never refuse.

It's cool imo, yes some don't have beds but I guess the team behind their interior are just trying to be more creative and unique, plus there are limited bedroom furniture sets anyways so if they sticked with that then we'll see reoccuring sets from the villagers which will be kinda boring and dull, it'll all just be the same thing but rearranged, reorganized and recolored which is not good at all, so I respect their direction of not doing it all bedrooms and making it more diverse for the villagers so it won't get repetitive...

I don't really remember the villagers' homes in NL so I think the ones in NH are good. I like how the wallpaper/flooring have some good variations (Saharah mostly) to kinda make their homes stand out more.
