Personally, I feel burned out from playing New Leaf and I only pick it up when participating in an event that requires it, restocking on bells or when I sell items for extra TBT. Whenever I try anything else, like unlocking remaining PWP/items, completing my bug/fish encyclopedia or decorating my town, I find I can't play past 5 minutes. New Leaf was pretty fun, though I still prefer past Animal Crossing installments over it. I think what I'll remember the most from NL will be playing island tours and Wii U/3DS mini games, since that was what I found most entertaining.

New Horizons looks like it'll be a refreshing experience, so I'm looking foward to its release. I'm loving the clean look and neatness of the environment. (Like New Leaf, though, I might not pick it up right away, since I know how demaning and time consuming Animal Crossing games can be.

ive been really getting into it since i got my boyfriend to play it, but ive started to slowly get tired of it again. I recently got my fave villager but she seems different from what i remember of her from the earlier games and isnt as stuck up anymore. Im also really sick of jock villagers and im actively waiting for my last jock villager to go. im getting sick of running errands for people and waiting to get pwp prompts which just dont seem to be coming. The only thing im really enjoying atm is the mini games form the ds and wii u and the multiplayer aspects.

That’s exactly how i feel, I’ve done most of the things in the game and all im doing is doing favours for every villager despite having all of their photos and looking for furniture in nooks shop which seems to never come and it just feels so repetitive, which is why im really looking forward to New Horizons!

i dont even have their photos besides 2, and those 2 dont even give me many requests, its all the other ones. i just want to say hi to them and next thing i know im delivering items and finding furniture for them.

Ikr! Its always the ones you dont like when you’re just passing by they decide, oh let’s go send them on some incredible half an hour search for someone, its at the point where i just keep whatever im delivering for myself haha

I've had New Leaf since it launched in the US. I've mostly moved on from playing it but it'll always be one of my most top tier games. I go back to it occasionally, just to see my town that I worked hard to complete, do a little fishing/bug hunting, and talk to my villagers. Recently it hit me that this is probably the last year I'll spend any considerable time in my town. So I've been going back and spend my last seasons in my town, doing the last fish/bug tourneys, Toy day, New years, etc. I hope to finish Valentines day too. Once Hew Horizons arrives, this game is going on the shelf with the GC game, CF, and WW, and just like with those games, I'll probably only visit my New Leaf town every few years. So I wanna give a proper goodbye to the game I spent so much time with.

I'm still actively playing daily and I have two towns that I keep up with, but to be fair I got into the game really late. I started my first town in October 2017 and my second town just this past summer, so I'm nowhere near burnt out yet. I was starting to feel that way slightly with my first town just because I had completed almost everything except a few badges, so that's why I got a second copy and started up a new town. I still check in on my first town daily to keep up with it, talk to my villagers, and work towards the final badges, but I'm pouring my creative energy into my new town now.

I'm mostly burned out as I only check on my town to prevent my villagers from moving. There were a couple of times where I ended up playing for at least half an hour, though. There's no denying it's one of my favourite games of all time as it played a huge role during my time back in high school.

I have created new town not so long ago so I will still play new leaf until I finish landscaping my new town.
I will also buy new horizons when it come out. I will be busy playing both games:)

Haha I love the poll options. I would pick two of those if I could. I’m playing new leaf until new horizons comes out, but I’m also going to continue playing it (maybe not as actively) until I finish my towns. I’ll also probably revisit it from time to time, but nothing crazy like resetting and creating a new town. ACNH will most definitely occupy most of my time, but I have a newfound interest in NL (and happy home designer as well) and it’s still really fun for me! A few of my friends have also picked up NL again so I’m excited to play with them again :>

Well, as much as I enjoyed playing New Leaf over the years, at some point, it got boring for me. I admit, there where times where I started over new and played it again, as I just miss playing Animal Crossing in general. But overall I'm pretty much done with this title and looking now more forward to New Horizons.

Still playing and enjoying it since release month! I have done all that I have wanted to do town-building wise, so I think that contributes to me not burning out. I have always did that sort of stuff in small bursts too which helped me play consistently. I will try to play it to some degree until there is no WiFi as I like trading and getting items for the fun of it.

I still really enjoy it and play it daily. I have 2 towns and im thinking of buying a third copy.
I started playing really late. I didnt start my first town till July of 2018, so I feel like im not sick of it just quite yet.
Going to try and continue keeping up with it when New Horizons comes out.

as of today, i'm trying to get back into it. i haven't played it in a while, so i remade my town. just got done setting paths for plot resetting, it was a pain in the a**. i hope to get back into it!

I find it enjoyable to this day. I recently bought myself a 6th town and it feels refreshing to work on another different town and decorate some more haha.

I find it really fun! And since I cant buy nh cause its too much money it sorta keeps me sane while everyone talks about nh and i'm here with new leaf still

i sold my copies back in 2017 but i still love the game and look back fondly on the memories that i made with it ;u;

It's pretty hard for me to go back to it. I have way more items in NL but the graphics for me are just so jarring to go back to. It's such a petty reason but it bugs me more than it should.

It’s still fun. I enjoy the music and talking to my now old villagers. I like comparing it to NH now too. I like working at the Roost still and doing favors for villagers. It’s fun for a short time.

i tried to play it this week but it feels dull to me compared to NH, the dialogues are meh, some mechanics inconvenient, and the fact you can't place furniture outside makes it boring to landscape now that i've experienced NH ;w;
