How do you deteriorate grass faster?

I'm making a dirt path, and while running on it works, it's really slow.
Is there a faster way to wear down grass? Because I'm thinking of inviting people over and running on my grass with me if that'll work.

I heard that reloading your game a couple of times seems to make it go faster. I don't know the exact rules to it, but if you run and then reload your game and do it again it should go faster.

When I saw the title, I was like "Is this person insane? Who would want deteriorated grass?" And then I saw the reason. Actually a pretty good idea. But kinda risky.
