Having multiple favorites of the same personality is hard. A snooty villager just moved into my town that I love, however, I already have a snooty that I adore and I need a peppy one. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have three lazy villagers I can't pick between and am letting them all stay (if I get that last one, I mean).
So, how does everyone else deal with this problem?
I try to keep a balance. Right now I have 3 normal, and I really like the normal personality. I just try to evaluate who I like the look of most (since their personalities are all identical), then decide which I will allow to leave. (I also have 2 snooty, but I know who I want to leave.)
I think it mostly depends on what kinds of public works projects you want suggested.
i used to think that i needed all villager types, but after looking through a list of pwp and who suggests them, i realized that i don't actually need lazy or jock villagers. so making villager decisions is way easier nowadays. but i think in the end i would just keep whoever i liked even if they were all one personality. as long as i like them haha <333
I like having a village with one of each personality type, which leaves two extra slots for random repeats. I currently have two lazy (Deli and Zucker). I had two jocks until yesterday (Teddy and Antonio--good-bye Antonio). By tomorrow I should have two peppy (Wendy and Tabby). I also prefer not to have duplicates of the same species, which isn't easy since there are some species that don't have anyone that I want and other animal species that have several that I want (I like all the octopi; and too many of the squirrels, sheep, and cats).
Always want one of each personality, usually like 5:5 split but at the moment its 6:4 for me, wouldnt want it to be any more than that
Prefer to have multiple species.. my 3 sheep will eventually stay permanently at 2 and my cats will go down to 1
I'd like to have at least one of each personality. If I have multiple villagers with the same personality, my choice on who to keep is usually based on whose design I like the most. There's other stuff that factor into it, too, like whether or not I've grown attached to a particular villager, and their house position.
