How do you decide what villagers to let go of?

I have so many dreamies that I would love to have in Drowsy, but currently, there are only two villagers I'm willing to let go of... any advice on deciding whether or not to let go of others?

Sometimes I feel like I have too many of one personality or I think about how I could find somebody else that I like too, and that usually helps me decide.
Honestly, sometimes I do regret letting somebody go, so it's really a matter of whether you personally think that it's worth it or not.

As the person said above. I had a bunch of normal villagers, and decided to let one go, due to the fact I had way too many.
Also, design helps. If I like their design, I'll keep them over someone I dislike.

For me, (besides the obvious like villagers moving in bad spots) the ones that stayed the longest and the villagers that have been repeatedly asking me to leave are the first ones to go.

I don't think you can really love a villager until you had them (I also have a lot of dreamies), so I go off who I don't absoloutely love most of the time. I do have a few permanent villagers who I won't ever let go, but like just recently I decided to let Bob go. I do love him, but if I ever want to get Erik back he would have to move since punchy and stitches aren't going anywhere soon.
It's hard to decide and hard to explain how to decide just remember that you can always cycle to get a villager back if you do miss them. I got Whitney back, while experiencing my other favourite villagers in the process and only another 3 cycles for Erik
