How do you catch tiger prawns?

Like seriously, are they THAT difficult?

I don't even remember when I caught one, I think it was when I JUST found out you can go diving in ACNH (which was during june of this year )

If you meant spawn rate, it's just really rare. December to March, 4PM - 9AM, Southern Hemisphere. It's just RNG. Ignore All the huge shadows and just go for the small ones.

If you meant how to chase them, I just chase them towards the corners of the net. Diagonally as possible. That way when they reach the edge, they would be trapped and won't go anywhere else. That's how I caught the giant clam, umbrella octopus, and the like.

I caught one on a Star Fragment island today. It was pretty rare, and took me almost an hour to find. I actually caught 2 Vampire Squids before the Tiger Prawn eventually appeared.

I forgot that I needed 2 for separate recipes, so I'll have to wait until I luck out on that island again... Or visit a Summer Shell island after 4 pm.

I found tiger prawns easier to find than many of the other creatures when filling in my critterpedia. Its just 100% luck based so every single islander is different. Best of luck!

You’re looking for 2-3 bubbles, for small shadows and they’re considered medium speed. I’ve attached from app that I use.
