How do you arrange your flowers, specifically for getting hybrids?

I just wanted to know, I kind of have a zigzag pattern myself, but everyone has their own way, I just feel like I need something more efficient.

well i used to set em up horizontally bc there isnt much space on the beach

but the must efficient way to get hybrids is just buying them on here tbh

I set up pairs of flowers that I want to breed on a diagonal from one-another, so that just the corners of their "squares" are touching.

This gives the most possible "squares" for hybrid offspring to spawn around the pair.

I'm not sure if it's the best method for New Leaf, but it certainly was in Wild World, and I guess my age is showing. XD
