In all seriousness, how do you all still enjoy playing Pokemon X? I felt like this one's endgame was very dull. I have put 200 hours into the game but haven't played it in at least 5 months (still my most played 3DS game timewise lol). Since I did download it digitally I would like to want to play it every now and again since I'm forced to own it forever or delete it which would be a waste. I had fun breeding Pokemon but once I started wanting to seriously commit competitively online it was a total ***** trying to get high IVs and certain Egg moves. Completely killed the game for me. Honestly, why go through all this grinding pain when I can just play Pokemon Showdown on my laptop was what I thought and I haven't played in a long time.

I skipped Black and White, but I have been a Pokemon fan since Red and Blue first came out. I think a big thing is that I'm older now and embarrassed to ask coworkers if they play it. In the Pearl generation me and my friends would have double battles on the buss to middle school every day for two years. Probably why I still view Pearl and Platinum as my favorite Pokemon games.

Anyway this is getting pretty long winded. Throw me some ideas to make me want to play again please!

Well, I'm trying to complete the National Dex right now, which keeps me entertained for a long time. I know not everyone is up for doing that, though.

What do you mean how? Either you do or you don't. I have only a few people added that I know from here but everyone else on my 3DS I know in person and whenever we're all together its time for a battle. We're constantly battling at Nintendo World and its fun trying out new strategies. The online/battling is the end game. I have never cared for Battle Tower and the like. I've been playing since Gen 1 too but this is the first time I've ever IV bred or EV trained and its because of that I've come to appreciate just how crazy the metagame is.

I don't. I've only completed the Pokedex for the first 3 gens cause I got tired of recatching so many, plus nothing ever really happens when you finish the dex anyway. At least now there's post-story wifi battles, if I was into it the way I was 10-15 years ago I would have probably still been playing but now I just feel too lazy and I'm more looking forward to ORAS, maybe I'll do post game wifi then (probably not)

Ha. I haven't even played the game since I got it. Too busy with other games (among other things) to even get past the first gym.

I don't play that much X/Y anymore, since I already have filled my National dex. If I play I usually just go train my pokes or look for shinies. I love the game a lot though, I have played all the trainer games and it's totally my fave of them.
Anyway, you should try filling the national dex as well or maybe starting the game again in case you don't have anything to lose in your old game.

I pretty much stopped playing after I beat the elite four and endgame. I battled once in a while, but that's it. I'll probably play around with it again at some point.

I'm trying to make a living Pokedex in my copy of X (which in the distant future will be moved over to future games via Pokebank and expanded to accommodate new additions) since that is my main copy so will never be deleted. Whereas my copy of Y is for challenges, currently I'm going through a Wonderlocke challenge, which has helped me with my living Pokedex on X since my challenge Pokemon get Pokebanked over to X and with challenges I use Pokemon I wouldn't normally use and, as such, never catch. So when I get a bit bored with breeding, wading through the GTS or braving WT for my living pokedex I'll just switch over to my Y challenge.

So if you are willing to delete your save and either lose your Pokemon or Pokebank them, I'd recommend restarting and doing some challenges (nuzlocke and variants, solo, mono-type, etc.)

This is super crazy, but I'm doing the EXACT same thing right now. X is my main game with around 400hrs on it O_o. I am currently working on a living Pok?dex (I'm complete up until Sinnoh). I also have Y and am currently partway through a Wonderlocke.

i only touch pokemon y when i have pokemon to train, sometimes i would play with my hoenn pokemon to get hyped for omega ruby

Sometimes if I feel like playing, I'll try to complete my Pokedex, or trade my shiny Pokemon to people who want them.

I wished the game had a better postgame, because other than completing the Pokedex, playing with Pokemon in Amie, and battling.
That's all you're doing in that game once the story's over, Yeah there's the Looker sidequest and other stuff that's available to you after the main story. The post game is very VERY tiny compared to Black 2 and White 2's postgame, which was giant.

Yea it was really disappointing in that regard :(. All I've been doing is shiny hunting and training. Here's to hoping that Ruby and Sapphire's is better.

I feel kind of guilty because I got Pokemon X and haven't played it since the month after I bought it last year. My gf even bred a nice shiny for me that I really love, but whenever I turn it on I only play in Pokemon Amie >.>

I've just been slowly adding to my shiny pokemon collection via reddit. Recently obtained a male shiny buneary with a beautiful IV roll for competitive battles[though William would, most likely, be used as support only]

I started my X version over and have being doing a nuzlocke, which has been fun. I'm thinking of trying to complete the Pokedex when I'm done with that.
