Is there any change in villager move-ins? I was hoping in the update, it could let you pick the spots for the houses, but i haven't heard anything about it yet. Does anyone know if plot resetting works?

plot reseting doesnt work anymore... ;-; and no you cant pick where they move...

Plot resetting does not work.
However, if you are full up on villagers and use Wisp to summon someone, you can evict any villager with the new villager.
Then, after that villager moves in, you can evict them and replace them with the previous villager as many times as desired.
Effectively a longer version of plot resetting, but they do change their house positions when they move back in it seems.

oh my god, thats awful. I still need two more villagers in my town (i have 9, but i need to get rid of one.) Does that mean adopting a villager from someone else could ruin my town? Im still very confused.

It could ruin your town. The only solution to having the layout perfectly as you want it seems is to either own the cards of the villagers you need or get insane random luck. :/
