How do the platinum points work? (from Miitomo and Pocketcamp)

You can get some pretty good discounts in eshop with the points, I only played Miitomo for about a week, but I have 200 points from it, yet I've played Pocket camp since day one (on and off) and I have no points there.
I going to point grind and try to get a few things for less, so what's the bet way to get points in those games?

In Pocket Camp, earning Platinum Points is mostly done by accomplishing a certain amount of requests per week. 10 requests will give you 30 points, 50 for 50, and 100 for 100. These missions will refresh on every Monday at 12:00 AM.
You can also earn 300 points by linking the app to your Nintendo account, Facebook and/or Twitter.

A list of all missions that gives you Platinum Points are told in this page. Keep in mind that you can also obtain 30 more Platinum Points per week by clicking on the rolling coin at the home My Nintendo page, and another 30 for visiting the official Nintendo website with your Nintendo account logged in.
