How do people reset so often!?! ::n::

Yeah I just recently reset my town but it's cause I didn't play for months and wanted to start over as well.

that's a reasonable explanation. but some people reset from better villagers and stuff.

I have reset a few times. I must say I learn more about what I want each time I reset.

I love all my towns. Each one is unique. Yet if I were to reset, I would let the villagers plot where they wanted. Once you start plotting you must plot forever.

The people who reset constantly, week after week? Or month after month?

I think some people are addicted to the thought of resetting in the hopes of finding an "instant perfect town".

Ah you totally are right, i reset my town 3 times expecting the perfect town, but it really doesn't exist. its hard finding the villager you want, there are so many.

For me, I really could not reset my town because I've put so much work into my town!
I can see why some people reset their town because of bad house placement or just an ugly map or something.

If I wanted to start over fresh and new, I would just buy a new copy of the game!

yeah but thats the thing xD some don't have bad towns they're actually really REALLY good. like, really good. and yet they reset?!

I dont understand it at all. I got mine on release day so even though my town is awful, I could NEVER restart. I'd be more likely to buy another game than to restart.

i would never reset something that i put a lot of time and effort into it. IMO, if you reset your town with your dreamies in it, you're crazy. anyway, if i wanna create a new town, i'd just buy another copy instead of restarting.

Thanks for making this thread! I always wonder how people give everything away when restarting their town!

I think it is reasonable to reset a town if you messed up the plotting of pwps, dreamie homes, or resident character homes.
Yes I too cannot bare to throw away a town I finished designing and have gotten all badges on my mayor character.
I would probably change the path patterns and customize my furnitures every now and then but not change
the theme & layouts& and dreamies of the town.

I want to make a winter town so I was thinking of getting a second acnl game but I think 1 is enough for me.
I love dream address visiting and letting other people visit my town. Since I am done with my town,
and got all my badges I can focus on helping others with their town designing or earning their
badges. I also like doing giveaways so I will never get bored with playing the game. Plus, I love my villagers
and talking to them or writing letters (practice my creativity in writing).

i've reset twice now, i admit i'm a bit hasty but the first time fang left and i couldn't deal. second time i just hated my layout

I don't know how people can reset their towns over and over and just start fresh. I recently reset my very first town that I'd had for over two years because my map kind of sucked, and I wasn't aware I could keep map resetting to get a good map.

Of course, I made sure to move my villagers to holder towns first, so I could still keep them. But yeah. I don't get how some people can reset over and over and not keep ANYTHING, including villagers.

I take pride in my fishing record on Animal Crossing (lol its a game but still)
I have caught every fish except for winter ones and I really really would not want to do that again!

Everything in my town is beloved... my villagers, the structure, everything I've done, all the ways I've developed it... it's like my prized artwork. Erasing my town would be like destroying my artwork forever.

Starting fresh is an amazing feeling but I just can't do it, not with my current Animal Crossing: New Leaf anyway.

I would much rather buy a second game copy if I want to start fresh! I do realize there is money involved, but it would be worth not losing my town in my opinion.

I don't know, I just reset mine after I haven't played for a long time and I just disconnect from it, but I never really accomplish anything in my towns so I don't know how it feels.
