How do I modify the title of a thread?

I've noticed this done, especially in Retail & The Train Station. I'd really like to do this for a couple of my threads. Can someone please tell me how to do it or if it is actually possible? Some clarification would be appreciated.

You just need to edit your thread. There will be an option for you to change the title.

If you can't do it, just report your post asking us to change it for you and we will.

You have to Edit the first post in the thread.
