This is the ideal look I want for my town. I'm not a fan of patterns on the ground so I was really impressed with this town. I'm not talking about the natural pathways but just in general. How would I start to make my town kind of like this? Would I cut down all the trees first and replant them in a certain way? PWP first? Bushes first? My town is a mess rn because I don't know what to do! I've been demolishing a lot of PWPs as well because I want to make a clean palette for me to work with.
Hey, so first I'd recommend taking photos of the town in game, so that you can look at them as a reference later.
I've been inspired my many towns and so I look at the pictures I've taken and then copied the look.
First start by collecting all the plants, bushes and flowers you need. If you've got a golden shovel you can make a tree for 1,000 bells.
There's no certain way to do this, all a matter of personal preference. If you do PWPs first then yo can plant around them, or if you plant trees make sure you've left a spot for them, usually I leave some bells on the ground for markers, some people put down patterns too when planning.
Also, if you want more help maybe invite someone over to help redecorate your town, or post a dream address so we can visit and then give ideas.
Since you've been demolishing your PWPs why not remove everything, and start from a specific area and then work from there.
I remember I chopped everything down in the top left of my town, and then recreated it the way I wanted, slowly I worked from there to expand the look I was going for.

I would suggest that you figure out some sort of path before you begin. You don't have to create the dirt paths before you rebuild your pwps/landscape your town fully, but you could at least line them out with bushes, flowers, and/or trees. That will help you find areas where you can build pwps.
That's really the best thing I can suggest. I always find that having some sort of path laid out makes it much easier to develop the rest of your town.
jk heres what i did (my town kinda looks like that in the vid)
-buy a **** ton of saplings and bush starts (hoard them in ur locker/beach)
-diving/pwp trick whenever ur doing something (watching tv,washing dishes, taking a shower, literally anything)
-talk to ur villagers a lot becuz ur digital animal neighbor might be movin out
-leave **** on the beach (if u leave it on grass it will make ur town ratings go doooown
-make a side character (so they can display the paths/tiles instead so u have space for clothes/patterns/wallpaper in ur designs)
-!!TAKE A PIC OF UR MAP N DRAW WHERE U WANT UR PATH TO BE!! this is super helpful i recommend this yo
-time travel (to get garden stuff done quickly!) but if u wanna enjoy the game day to day do that too of course!! (hats off to you if you do, i have no patience to do tht ugh)
if u do all these steps then ur town will be on the track 2 PERFECTION (jk if u want a perfect town u need like 200 trees and no garbage pwps lmao)
