How do I get the villagers to sing?

I've seen many videos of people's villagers singing but I don't know how to get them to do it or when they do it. Do they need music playing or something? Please tell me I really want them to sing

Mine are sometimes just in front of the resident services building/by their houses/on the beach singing. It's sort of a random activity from what I've noticed. Putting down a radio just lets them sing along to the song playing. I haven't experimented with putting down instruments or a microphone or anything yet though, only a music player.

It seems to be a random event. Kyle seems to like singing to the sea lol. Sometimes 4 of my villagers have a whole concert in the plaza or one will sing and others will sit and watch. I never have music playing during this either.

Yeah, I've noticed it's mainly during the daytime. So if you are playing mostly at night that may be why you haven't seen it? And some of them sing all the time while others don't sing as much. For whatever reason, Roscoe is always singing.

I've seen videos of people placing a stereo nearby and they can sing along to whatever tune such as k.k.metal .

Stitches and Chief are the ones who love to sing in my island. They sing a lot. Mostly in the afternoon and evening. Sometimes they sing together and other villagers watch them. Lol.

How do you get them to shut up more like. I was terraforming around my town hall yesterday and there were three of them singing for an hour straight.

For whatever reason, Roscoe is always singing.

I also have roscoe and he just loves to sing! idk if this is something programmed into the game or anything but some of my villagers seem more prone to singing? I always catch roscoe, zell, and deirdre singing but never fauna or big top

I think some type of villagers sing more than others? I have a chicken and she seriously sings all the time. The others don’t, really. Unless they see her in the plaza and join in.
