How do i get bells?

I am new here i joined a while ago but i have not done anything and i was wondering how do i get bells?

sorry if this is just me being a newb but i had only 37 bells a little while ago(100 in abd) and when i loged on now i had 181 but there were still the 100 in the bank is this a glitch or something that just happens? if it just happens can someone explain it thanks

oh and also my abd says interest disabled

Right now, everyone's interest is disabled. Somehow people were "Abusing Interest" so they turned it off for a while.

ok thank you but do you know why i got 150ish extra bells?

On the sub menu, click Currency (it's on the far right under Chat). Then click bells to get a pop-up window. On that window click transactions to see a log of all bell transactions. If you were posting quite a lot you could have earned those bells.

Well I know you can sign up. then you have to register your email and you get 150 TBT.
