How do I evict Wendy

In NL i got wendy to move in via the campsite. She's cute and all... but

1. hate the scarf. why can't she wear clothes.
2. i realized i dislike the peppy copies. I already have Tammi.
3. SHE PLACED HER HOUSE *right* IN FRONT OF THE RE-TAIL. i'm not kidding. DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF IT. I had ASSUMED she's plop her stupid house where Frobert's once was, but NOPE. Now it's blocking the view to the retail from the plaza that i so enjoyed and.. yeah. quite annoying.

So... what I'm asking is HOW DO I GET HER OUT. I can TT so if any method you suggest involves that, then that's okay.
Also, if you can also tell me how I can get my next villager's house to move into a place a like.... how would i do that? Hacks? Moving trees?? i'll do anything to prevent another idiot from putting it somewhere that stupid
 
I'm not sure if a surefire method was ever discovered for getting specific people to move out, but I believe it was confirmed that stuff like being mean/hitting with net to make them dislike you does NOT work. If anything maybe just TT and use the "diving trick" (I can try and find a link to an explanation if you don't know how it works) to have people ping you, hopefully after a few days of TTing wendy will ping you to move away.

This is probably gonna be time-consuming (I'm currently trying to get a few specific villagers to leave my town too), but one helpful thing I've noticed is that if someone's moving away, the first time they ping you will always be to announce their move. So you can do the diving trick until wendy pings you, and if she doesn't talk about moving away you can TT to the next day, and so on. This trick might also be helpful for finding out if someone OTHER than wendy is moving away, so you can stop them.

As for controlling where they put their house, there's a couple of ways to do this. (Though this requires preparation, so it kind of only works with villagers you invite from the campsite or other towns, not random move-ins)

Method 1 is placing patterns on the ground. As of the amiibo update in 2016, villagers won't move in on top of patterns. So if you have paths in your town, they won't destroy those. This means that you can put patterns every few spaces around most of your town except for a location where you want the villager to move in, and they'll put their house there. Alternatively, if there's a specific spot that you want them to stay away from, you can put patterns around that place and they won't move in on it. Depending on how much of ur town you are covering in patterns, the cleanup can be a bit of a pain. So if it's a big job, some people make a new player character to place the patterns, and then once the villager moves in they delete the extra character and all of the designs vanish with them. (I haven't done the new character thing myself so maybe confirm that before doing any big projects with it)

Method 2 is Plot Resetting, what was generally done before the ability to control the move-in location with patterns was added. I still do it when I don't have a huge preference on where villagers move in and would only want them to avoid certain specific places.
For plot resetting, you need to use system settings to change the date to the day (usually the one after you invite the villager) that the new villager's plot of land is set up. Then, make a new character. Do not use an existing character, because this sets certain variables in stone for the day even if you quit without saving. With the new character you can explore the town and see where the villager's plot of land is set up. If you don't like where it is, close the game and make another new character. It should be in a new place the next time (though sometimes it puts the plot in the same places a few times in a row... the game seems to prefer certain locations but it can change if you reset enough). Once you find a place you DO like, continue the game as normal until your new character gets a TPC and is able to save. Once you save and quit with the new character, you can delete them and the animal will be moving in where you want them once you load up your main save file.

so, for tt, how many days forward or backward should i tt? does it affect it bc Gale is moving out on the 25th?

I am not exactly sure about your situation (if you have any villagers that you’d like to keep or not) but the above link with that method can be pretty reckless and mostly if you have no other dream villagers because using that method can kick anyone out, so be careful.
Anyway, let’s say that you don’t care whichever villager moves out (including Wendy)

1. Time travel 1 year and 5 days back. It actually doesn’t matter how long in the past you time travel because it all counts as one day forward. You can even time travel one day forward if you want.

3. Time travel 7 days forward. A new villager should be in boxes.
You can repeat as many times as you want.
Since you can’t really control who moves in or out with this, you could try placing cheap public work projects as placeholders so villagers won’t move in certain spots.
Let me know if you have any villagers you would like to keep.

Oh hmm... I think only one villager can be preparing to move out at a time, so before doing anything with wendy you'll probably have to TT to Gale's moving date to have her leave, or to a day before that to stop her from leaving if you wanted to do that

But in case you're curious about how time travel affects move-out dates, I found this on a reddit guide:
"Any number of days backwards will count as 1 day forward for your villagers and will move their moving-out date by that same amount (Example: I was on 19, Biff wanted to move on 22 (3 days in the future); I Time Travel 3 days back (to 16), and now he wants to move at 18 (2 days in the future: the 3 from before, minus one reduced because of the Time Travel))."

I’ve tried this before with villagers that I wanted to keep in a town. Say that you time travel a year and 5 days back and one year forward. (Step 1 and 2) talk to all of the villagers that you want to keep (you may have to reload since they won’t ping you if you haven’t talked with them in a while, so talking helps) after reloading, if none of them ping you, great, time travel 7 days forward. If one of your wanted villagers ping you, time travel 7 days. There should be another villager to ping you then. Repeat and talk to all of the villagers that you want to keep. It’s really helpful to talk to the last villager that you turned out to move and hopefully they will mention <“villager”> wants move, and if you don’t want them, time travel 7 days. They will be in boxes and you can start the whole practice over again. If it’s another villager in a row that you want to keep that pings you to move, keep time traveling. I thought you should time travel 15-17 days because it’s a different process if two villagers in a row want to stay, but I’ll get back to you and let you know.

Hmm you might of already heard this but, if you follow their requests and talk to them they're more likely to move out. Or more likely to not ask you then decide they want to be better friends with you.:cautious: (I'm talking to you Diva)
