How do I create multiple houses for making a story based island

So I was planning on making a fairly dark and depressing horror/drama themed island with a story and characters I create myself.

There is just one problem and it's that I don't know how to create the other 7 houses needed to tell the story.

I have a hard time figuring out what to do to achieve this because my search results are not very useful because it thinks I am searching for info related to creating multiple islands on one switch which I am obviously not trying to do.

Do you have any information on how to do this?

You'll need to create multiple profiles on your Switch. Then, with one of the new profiles, fire up the game, and it'll allow you to create a character for the island. Rinse and repeat for every new house you want to put on your island.

You’ll have to make another account on your switch. You can go into settings, then select users, then add user, and then proceed to add another user profile. Then open NH on this new profile, and you will have a new character!
