How do I change the way I look on HHN?

I wanted to see how other players designed villager's houses. I looked at my favorites, but something was wrong. My character looks incorrect. I'm supposed to look like my mayor, but it looks like one of my other characters fused together. Can't post a pic, but anyone know how to change this?

Go to the dressing room upstairs. The way you're dressed when you last upload to HHN will e your favorite icon

Okay, it worked. I'm going to have to be careful about this when I change into something else.
