just wondering and kind of a random question how did you guys plan out your town? How i am currently planning out my town is i drew out my map on paper, added everyone's homes, builds and mark where rocks where. Every time somebody moves in or out i write it down on the back of the paper to keep track of voided villagers. I also put a cross on villagers that i want gone and a tick on the ones i'm keeping. I also did everything in pencil so i could easily rub out any mistakes and when i have my game with me i keep this paper with me too, i'm not crazy i just like perfection XD

How did/do you plan out you town?

I don't.. I just play and well I don't plan. I am lucky with my villagers and their house placements so I don't have to plot reset. In the beginning I also don't know where to put pwp's and which ones. I just discover that while I'm playing the game. But, because of that I usually have no good places left for buildings like the police station and cafe. I might make a plan for my 2nd town that I am making today..

I never plan, just play. If a villager moves in and his/her house is in a bad spot, well, I leave it that way, I don't care. I just put my path pattern around the house; so far my town map looks good!

I use a journal to plan things out. Which PWPs I want, which villagers suggest them, which songs I want to request, that sort of thing. It's more of a list that I keep in case I forget anything. For everything else like PWP placement, flower arrangement, and interior decor; I just do what feels/looks right. If I know I can change it later, I tend not to worry about it too much.

I don't really plan, I just think "oh that would look good here", put it there, and then plant flowers around to match. I don't even have dreamies (but that's more because of my internet).

When I first started I picked the first map I saw xD I actually love the map so it worked out, I first played my town normally no paths no dreamies all for fun then I found QR's and got a new path at that point I learned plot-resetting by that time I had dreamies so I got dreamies and plot-resetting half of my villagers and everything has worked out pretty well I had none nothing from the start and now I love my town once I get my last dreamie "Hopefully wont change my mind again" I can work on my 4th character and more QR's :)

i graph it out digitally, usually when i start a new town. i then figure where i want paths to go before i lay them down, to save me trouble. then i figure out where i want dreamies + permanent pwps. then i take inspiration from others towns with landscaping.

I like making bush surrounded yards for all my villagers! then put PWPs in each one based on their personalities and designs!

I've run into trouble with liking seemingly boring characters, like O'Hare... what do you put near him?

hes kind of a tropical villager right
so you put down r/y hibiscus, island fruit trees/baskets, and mayb yellow flowers like cosmos or pansies

well i had white azaleas around him... but the tropical island thing would be better! I just have to find some hibiscus starts lol! I can also use tiki torches in his place too! plus his has a little pond around it too so it fits even more!

Thanks as I was contemplating switching him out for a different villager

I have never planned anything that goes on in my town. I have never plot reset and everything just kinda goes where it goes. I sometimes wish I had planned things out in the beginning, but I like my town the way it is.

I honestly haven't planned much at all yet. Initially I had a couple areas picked out like "this is where all the fancy fruit trees go, this is where I'll put a little park with flowers and a fountain" etc etc but what ended up happening was... I didn't know how plot resetting worked at the time, so villagers just plonked down wherever, and with the Beautiful Ordinance in effect my entire town is pretty much blanketed in random flowers. When it comes time to really do some landscaping, I imagine I'll have to chop down a lot of trees and organize all the flowers by color... it'll be a pretty daunting task, but I'm kind of looking forward to it.

i've never planned my town as i was so eager to start playing... i've been thinking of resetting my town, but i'm unsure. i really should've graphed out where my paths would go and PWPs but i guess i'm fine for now :p

I've sort of waited with planning out where everything goes after I'm getting enough villagers that I am happy with and I get inspired for certain areas. I've noticed that after I've played for a while, and been running all over the place every day I start to see what would look good there and then I start to plan that area out :D

Before I began my town, I had a very loose plan for it. As of now, I have plans for where some PWPs will go and where all of my dream villagers will go, but the rest of my town is basically just natural.

I don't plan things, either. though I do have a tendency to constantly switch things around. :y but pwps and stuff, nah. too much effort anyway. besides, as long as it's not a permanent one, if I end up not liking where it is, I can always demolish it and put it elsewhere. thankfully, I am very happy with my placement of the campsite and The Roost.

I started off with picturing / laying main paths that connect to all main buildings in my town... like Retails, town hall, plaza, cafe, police station... then I used plot resetting trick to plot villagers in a decent spot, away from where I wanted my bridges to be. I didn't unlock the fairy-tale bridge for a while and I knew I had to replace the bridges after I unlocked it. I didn't wanna have to kick out my dreamies for the bridge replacement, so I counted and made sure there were enough spaces between river/bridge spot from the villager's houses. Most of my villagers live very closely, including my mayor & side characters.. ^_^ and built lots of fairy-tale related PWPs.. It was my second time starting a new town so I was a bit more organized and had some ideas in my head... My first town, nope. I kinda went with w/e happened and thought 'why didn't I look up online first' xD haha
