How did you name your town?

i named mine polybius after a mysterious arcade game said to cause negative psycological side effects to whoever plays it

Main towns: Windfall (From The LoZ wind waker), Espresso (because i love coffee. named the mayor Mocha. also plan to name other residents coffee-like names)
Cycle town: Kyoto (city in Japan), Arowana (because arowana mall is my favorite stage in splatoon)

i named one of my towns Pandora because i really love Borderlands, and that's the name of the planet that the game series takes place on. it also really helped that i'm really into greek mythology and that i was reading a lot about the Pandora's box myth at the time lol.

my other town is named Everwood just because i wanted a forest like themed town, and when using a name generator it was one of the names that i liked the most.

I named my main town Sapphire, and I named my sister town Ruby. I've always liked gemstones, so I figured I'd name my towns after my two favorite ones. :P

I chose a flower theme so called town Meadow and all my 4 characters flower names, Rose, Lily, Poppy, and Daisy.

My town's name, "Bluebark", is a spoof of the name of my real-life hometown, named after a type of sequoia, "redwood" trees. I have a fondness for my town of birth, so a similar-themed name is kind of nostalgic... even though I still live here, heh.

I just made a new town called Tinytree. The name is not super original but it's basically going to be loosely based on a tiny house community: all my players will have small homes (around the size of the residents or one upgrade bigger) or tents, predominately forest, possibly some way to incorporate a solar panel or wind turbine pwp for renewable energy etcetc (but honestly they are so ugly :()

My first town is called Kenka. It means to quarrel or fight in japanese but I actually named it after a bar in the area I used to live in new york... started the game the night I came back from there so it seemed fitting.

Ours are all pretty self explanatory if you know the books/shows/movies etc.
Hobbiton - The Hobbit and LOTR.
Eternia - Masters Of The Universe.
Arborlon - The Shannara Chronicles.
Narnia - The Chronicles Of Narnia
Gondor - LOTR

Well, I currently have four towns, so...

Gilead: the town where Roland Deschain lived before the events of The Dark Tower series. I'm currently obsessed with these books, so this is the name of my newest town.

Gemedet: from Myst: The Book of Ti'ana. It's the Age that Atrius and Ti'ana wrote together.

Oeilvert: a town in Final Fantasy IX. I'm pretending my hamster villagers are moogles, lol.

And the crowning jewel of my towns is Bunifrey. My hubby actually named this one for me. I made the town in memory of our Bun Bun that crossed the rainbow bridge. I'm also a big Whovian, so he came up with the idea of combining Bun Bun and Gallifrey. So yeah. Bunifrey.

I named at after the titular town in my story, Memoria.
I am a big nostalgia-brat so my memories; new and old, are very important to me, Animal Crossing-related ones especially so I thought why not?

My first town I wanted to have a town with two words, so it was Free Bay, free because I could do whatever I wanted, and bay because it was a town by the beach.
My second I followed the trend, Joy Lake, a place that would bring you joy and a time to relax.
Then again, I named a town Ash Lake. Cause I liked the Lake part, and Ash is a nice tree. :P
And my newest town is Newhaven, and that didn't follow the trend. The new part cause it was a new town, haven because it's a safe place.

My New Leaf town is named Startown. I did a theme with my sister, who named her town Moontown. I think doing matching town names is fun! Also, I named my Wild World town Overton and I named another town D?rfli; those are both names of fictional towns.

I just used the part of the word from "aladdin" (the word is from the water bottle I always use to drink from) which was "alad" I took and then I said some random words and came up with "Aladus." Idk but the town name reminds me like Aladin as in the Disney movie. XD I wasn't really creative about my town name tho it sounds alright I guess. I also get this "sandy" vibe from my town name when in my town the theme is suppose to be nature.

Haha, I didn't really put much thought to my town's name aside from wanting it to sound welcoming and cheerful.
Town name is Sunville (a pretty common one, lol)

Wow, can't believe how much thought so many people have put into their town names. Hyrule was literally the first one I thought of and just went with it. Although in fairness if I could change it now I would. The only thing stopping me resetting is the amount of stuff I have. Would quite like a mystical name

I was playing a lot of Pokemon before I got my cartridge of AC:NL, specifically Pokemon Black/White. When I made my town, I always wanted to try making a Pokemon themed town since I never got a chance to on Wild World, so I chose the name Lacunosa (from the town in-game). But thanks to me making my town late at night when I was tired, it ended up being Lucanosa. Hence my username. Definitely one of the happiest mistakes I've ever made.

i chose ataraxia, which is a greek term for peace, calm and tranquility. im into pretentious words.

I dunno if I already posted but here goes
I named Regalia after uh the word regal (wow)
It apparently is a word also I think lol

My newest town is Detroit and well its based off.. Detroit (wow go me)
Its a thuggish town and apparently that kinda has a bit of thug activity?

Ehingen is the name of my irl hometown in southwestern Germany.
