How did you name your town?

at the time I lived near aurora, colorado and loved the name aurora. not really a unique name, but it is pretty c:

When everyone in my family got WW, my sister named her town Hell, so I chose Heaven. Since then I kept using the name Heaven, but after I restarted my first NL town, I named my current town Haven. Named after Heaven, but obviously not the same town. Basically like, an entire town is being used to memorialize a previous town?

I named mine Hell because I can't wait to go there!!

I thumbed through a wildflowers book and found Larkspur. I like it a lot, it's like a purple trumpet flower

of course, it doesn't make much sense with my town theme, because Larkspur grows in the mountains and my town is seaside/nautical themed with almost no purple anywhere...

so I'd just name it something you like! It doesn't always need meaning.

I needed to come up with a coolish name and I didn't want to take forever thinking about it so I just chose the first thing I thought of (Oblivion).

with swing i just thought it was a cute word, and my new town is named rest since i'm using it as a way to relax/not stress about landscaping

I felt worse when I found out my bf at the time named his after me. I'm glad I didn't though because now that we're split I don't want to have his name anywhere near my town lol.

A tiny part of me wishes the update allows you to change your town name, even if it's just once.

Kind of how they did it with Pokemon Go.

My first town was named Duckland and the one I have now is Raincove. I forget what the second town's name was...
I got the first one's name cuz I like ducks and I got the second one because it's cozy. sorry I forgot to mention this

The inspiration for my town of Nowhere is a split between my complete adoration for Courage the Cowardly Dog (who lives in the middle of Nowhere) and I also thought it was a funny joke when Rover would ask me where I was heading I'd tell him I was going nowhere!

I came up with my town name, with my annitials and Bay because there is a beach and it reminds me of a seaside.
I put my annitials as if i was the founder, expressing the mayor throughout the ac world!

My town is called NeverWas and it was inspired by The World that Never Was in Kingdom Hearts II. I thought it would be fun to make a Kingdom Hearts themed town. My villagers are named after Organization XIII members and I made some fun patterns for the paths.

I listen to EDEN/The Eden Project a lot, and he has this absolutely beautiful song called Kairos. After finding that song, I discovered the meaning of the word: The perfect, delicate, crucial moment: the fleeting rightness of time and place that creates the opportune atmosphere for action, words, or movement.

It all really resonated with me, so I decided that would be my town name. AcreWood means absolutely nothing to me, I sat down for 3 minutes and just settled on it lol.

I named my main town "Tazmily" after my absolute favorite game, Mother 3. The main characters (refering most to Lucas and Claus) live there!
Mother 3 (Earthbound 2) the third game in the Earthbound series. The game is truly amazing! ♥
My second town I will name Podunk, after Mother 1 (Earthbound Beginnings), the first game in the Earthbound series.

Cocoplum is the name of a flowering plant.
Corvidae is the family name of crows, blackbirds.
Misfit is named after Rudolph's Island of Misfit Toys.
Big Bear is named such because it is my all bear village.
Shika means deer in Japanese and is my all deer village.
Oyster is the name of my seaside town.
Harvest is named after a running gag featuring Coco. My Coco has a backstory about preparing for some kind of 'Harvest.' So when she snuck out of one of my towns, I bought a seventh game, created Harvest and picked her up from my void.

I named my town Fredonia, after an episode of Doctor Who. The Shakespeare episode with Martha and she tells Shakespeare that she's from Fredonia

i wanted a forest town, so i named it after the giant redwood trees! it's a bit generic but i still think it's pretty cute!
