How did you discover ACNL?

I first played AC on the Gamecube when relatives from America gave the game as a gift to us and and I played WW and CF before taking a long break. Then ACNL hype happened and I got really excited and started saving up as soon as I could.

I turned the big 5-0 this year, so I'm also one of the older folks here.
I played Super Mario 64 & Banjo/Kazooie on the N64 but then took a long break (real-life got in the way). Played some games on the Wii (loved Go Vacation) and WW on the DS. But New Leaf is my absolute favorite.

Happy belated birthday! I can't say how relieved I am to not be the only older person here. :)
I never did play the N64, but my husband has almost every console ever made and we have tons of old stuff we want to play and enjoy on "Retro Nights" when we finally get into our house. I do have a copy of WW and my hubby has an old DS, so I do want to play it. I do not assume it will be as graphically fancy or the controls as smooth, but still, I really want to see Nook as a youngster and Tortimer as mayor. :D

I heard about it on Nintendo's site and from Nintendo directs and stuff, but I wasn't really interested in it. But a lot of people on Miiverse said it was really fun, so I eventually got it on Christmas last year. Haven't regretted it!

I don't remember how I stumbled upon ac when I was a kid, but I remember having the gamecube version. I traded it away for Mario Sunshine a long time ago & then asked to borrow it off someone a few years ago. I never gave it back mwuahahah

I played WW first and CF a bit (not very often, only a few times). then got NL for my birthday last summer, it's the first AC game I've spent an obscene amount of time playing.

I was basically on this forum that I used to go on and they made an Animal Crossing club. I wasn't familiar with it at all, but then they started saying that they were excited for New Leaf and I asked them what the whole idea of Animal Crossing was. I was explained to and I fell in love with the idea! So I bought it and became unhealthily obsessed, the end happily ever after blah blah blah.

I bought a 3DS XL when it came out and played various games on it, but I'd often end up leaving it on the side. I'd heard a lot about Animal Crossing before, even though I never had the chance to play one of the previous titles. I just checked it out and decided that when it came out, I'd buy it.

And I'm still not tired of it.

I remember seeing something about it on Gamestop and thinking, oh cool. I hadn't played any games in the series recently and was more in a Pokemon mood. Once I actually saw the first preview I started playing my old City Folk game again and my interest skyrocketed.

I'm pretty new to the game with NL being my first. Basically I'm just super pumped for SSB4 and since the villager will be in it, I felt like I had apparently missed out on something and went to research a little and well, then it was kinda cheap on amazon and here I am now. :D

ivve heard of animal crossin before so i played a rom of wwild wworld and i thought it wwas really cool (until my brother ruined it)
then tumblr exploded wwith acnl and i got really excited so i got it
6 months later.

My boyfriend had played previous AC games. His sister got New Leaf when it came out. He got it for Christmas and let me play when I visited him. Needless to say, I hogged it more than half the time. I had to get my own. x3

I didn't know anything about animal crossing at all. When I was in rehabilitation in Feb my brother came to visit me and gave it to me as a gift. He read about about it and thought I might like it. When I started playing...I had no idea what I was doing...you know I'm used to...how back....back in the day the game pamphlet that comes with the cartridge use to have directions on everything. The first handheld game I played ever was Kirby's Dream Land on the gameboy. ...-how old am I- haha. I think it's cool looking and seeing the advancement of games through my lifetime. haha. I got a 3ds for Pokemon X/Y I've always been a fan of Pokemon since it came to the US I'm always excited with every release....but because of that.... Great Pokebank fiasco of 2013 my excited kinda flopped.

ACNL is something new for me and I like it very much. and I'm glad that I joined this board.

I've been a fan of Animal Crossing since Wild World - it was the first DS game I bought! I've followed the series since. I bought PG while waiting for CF to come out, and bought CF as soon as we got a Wii. NL is one of the reasons I bought a 3DS (Pokemon X and Y being a second).

I completely forgot about the ac games then i saw a post on tumblr and i just knew i had to get it!

All the nuzlocke comic artists on DA started drawing thing about their towns, I didn't care and just wanted to them to make their next page. (seriously, it takes some of them months to make just one :P)

I got interested in it because of Chuggaaconroy.

I think I found it by coincidence after getting my first DS. I loved it as a kid and played for hours!
Then I heard they made a version for the Wii - I had to buy a Wii, just to play Animal Crossing.
And as I was planning on buying a 3DS to play Pok?mon, I saw that they had made this new version of the game and I had to have it!
I really wish I'd played in on Gamecube too.. But yeah, I've played it for three generations now :i

I saw online that it would be out soon.
At first I didn't want it because I didn't have a 3DS and my friends don't play anymore.
But almost a year later I caved in and bought a 3ds along with the game. I'm glad I did.

I discovered WW thanks to some friends. I played pokemon and they all started ditching pokemon for AC so I followed.
We had so much fun.

I've played every single AC game and wad hyped about it for like a year due to the 20 trillion release dates.
