I plan to restart my town soon, but I cannot think of a name I want to stick with. I'm making a list of names I'd like but I'm just unsure of what I'll be using.

So how did you pick your town name? Is it something meaningful to you? Does it have any sort of history, or what it simply something you liked?

Well, Sailor Moon is my favorite Anime (Well the original Japanese version anyway)....And my favorite is Sailor Mercury. So I named my mayor Ami, and chose Mercury as the name of the town!

Azalea: Small bug town.. perfect for Animal crossing
when i reset Azalea, ill keep the same name lol

Parfait: Food themed..

Rosewood was the name of my boyfriend's old town. I picked it for my town when he reset because I wanted a very nature-oriented town. I plan on lots of trees and roses!

My boyfriend's town is named Haven. He wanted it to be a place of refuge for villagers and visitors alike.

Celadon - Favorite Pokemon town

Chrome - Kinda color-related, which is going to be my layout theme, and I just like how it sounds

I love Zelda: Oracle of Ages, so I went with the name of the land in that game: Labrynna. If I make a cycle town, I'll name it Holodrum, the name of the land in Zelda: Oracle of Seasons xD

I live in WiltSHIRE (lots of Shires in England) and I love Lord of the Rings, and the Shire there c:

@CooCoo I was thinking about naming my Haven! Though that's the name of my dog X3

I've always had a liking for the word 'regal' and kind of punched it in without thinking, actually, I did a lot in my first/main town without planning or thinking. At least I haven't seen anybody else with the same town name :'D

Inaba, cos well I was in love with Persona 4 at the time that I started New Leaf (^。^)

Merry - the reason I got ac was because I saw Erik and fell in love with him. He just reminded me of Christmas, and I love Christmas and snow and the songs/tunes, everything. I just loved the idea of making a Christmassy-town and so Merry fit the title. :) I also love how it can be "Merry" throughout the year, like it's not only for Christmas, all year long it'll be "Merry" or "happy" like everyone's having a good time, lol. I don't know, it sounds cute. Also during spring as the flowers bloom(?) lol or more like as the colors bloom. :) I just love how it gives off that happy town, which I've always wanted to make.

And also, because my favorite anime is One Piece. Merry was their first ship and like their 'home' or 'friend/nakama' and everyone had the best times and it was just so fun.

My town name (Amity) came from one of my favorite books, Divergent, which I was reading at the time I reset my town. It sounded nice, so I went with it. :)

That's a cool name for dog! I actually suggested Haven for my town, but since he just reset, he asked if he could have it. Sure, why not? That meant I get Rosewood. C:<

Arden is the name of a Youtuber I'm subscribed to and I randomly thought of the name and liked it, haha.
Alternatively, Garden without the G.

I named my town Foxbelle because it is the main setting of a story I am writing, and I want to try and make this town resemble the one in the book.

c: Haven was a rescue dog, which makes it kinda ironic hehe. I'm thinking of TinyWood (Tiny Woods from PMD:R & B) right now, but my list is kinda random.

I named my town Llundain which is the Welsh for London, because I want to live there when I'm older and also I really like languages and I wanted to have a town name in one of the languages I learn/speak :)

Greatlog because that's the name of the island in my favorite childhood game, Dragon Warrior Monsters 2. (Localize the 3DS versions of these already, dang!)

I still own my old copy of it to this day.

My first town is named after my cat.

Second town is Skingrad, named after my favorite city in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The count was a vampire and the whole aesthetic of the city was just really cool.

Third town is Pandora, from Greek mythology. Coincidentally, it's also the name of the planet that acted as the setting for the game Borderlands, one of my all-time favorite RPG/FPS hybrids.

My fourth and final town is Ferelden, named after the setting in Dragon Age: Origins (also DA2 but that one doesn't count) :)
